Abstract
Bu araştırmanın amacı, Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı bünyesindeki okullarda çalışan ve çeşitli kademelerde görev yapan öğretmenlerin lisansüstü eğitim alma nedenlerinin incelenmesidir. Nitel araştırma yöntemi ve durum çalışması deseninde kurgulanan bu çalışmaya amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden ölçüt örnekleme yöntemi kullanılarak seçilen toplam 11 öğretmen katılmıştır. Araştırma verilerinin elde edilmesinde geliştirilen yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formları kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçları lisansüstü eğitim yapan öğretmenlerin akademik olarak kariyerlerini sürdürme eğiliminde olduklarını ve bu doğrultuda çalışmalar sürdürdüklerini göstermiştir. Öğretmenlerin yüksek lisans eğitimlerini tamamlama nedenleri arasında; branş bazlı güncel gelişmelerin gerisinde kalmamak, akademik olarak ortaya konulmuş yeni yaklaşımları yakından takip etmek gibi nedenler olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına ilişkin öneriler sunulmuştur

Abstract
The purpose of this research is to examine the reasons for teachers working in schools under the Ministry of National Education and working at various levels to receive graduate education. A total of 11 teachers selected using criteria sampling method from purposeful sampling methods participated in this study, which was established in the qualitative research method and case study pattern. Semi-structured interview forms developed were used to obtain the research data. The results of the research have shown that teachers who are engaged in postgraduate education tend to pursue their careers academically and continue to work in this direction. It has been determined that among the reasons for teachers to complete their master's degree education; There are reasons such as not falling behind Dec current developments based on the branch, closely following the new approaches put forward academically. Recommendations on the results of the research are presented.
