Abstract
Yönetim süreçleri açısından ortaokul yöneticilerinin duygu yönetimi davranışlarını belirlemek amacıyla yapılan bu araştırmada nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini Millî Eğitim Bakanlığı bünyesindeki resmi ortaokullarda çalışan öğretmenler oluştururken basit seçkisiz örneklem yöntemiyle seçilen ve ankete katılıp tüm sorulara cevap veren 150 ortaokul öğretmeni araştırmanın örneklemini oluşturmuştur. Çoruk’un (2012) geliştirdiği “Yönetim Süreçleri Açısından Yöneticilerin Duygu Yönetimi Davranışları Ölçeği” kullanılarak toplanan veriler normallik testine tabi tutulmuş ve normal dağılmadığının görülmesi üzerine verilerin analizinde non-parametrik testlerden Mann Whitney U ve Kruskal Wallis H testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularına göre; ortaokullarda çalışan öğretmenler, yöneticilerin duygu yönetimi davranışları düzeyi ve tüm alt boyutların düzeyi “Katılıyorum” düzeyinde yüksek oranda olumlu değerlendirdikleri; ortaokul öğretmenlerinin cinsiyet ve branş değişkenine göre yönetim süreçleri açısından ortaokul yöneticilerinin duygu yönetimi davranışlarının anlamlı farklılık oluşturmadığı; mesleki kıdem değişkenine göre anlamlı farklılık oluşturduğu sonucu ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu sonuçlar doğrultusunda uygulayıcı ve araştırmacılara çeşitli önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

Abstract
In this study, which was conducted to determine the emotion management behaviors of secondary school administrators in terms of management processes, the survey model, which is one of the quantitative research methods, was used. While the universe of the research was composed of teachers working in official secondary schools within the Ministry of National Education, 150 secondary school teachers who were selected by simple random sampling method and answered all questions by participating in the survey formed the sample of the research. The data collected using the “Emotion Management Behaviors Scale of Managers in terms of Management Processes” developed by Çoruk (2012) were subjected to the normality test and when it was seen that they were not normally distributed, Mann Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis H tests, which are non-parametric tests, were used in the analysis of the data. According to the research findings; Teachers working in secondary schools evaluated the level of emotion management behaviors of administrators and the level of all sub-dimensions positively at the level of “I agree”; Emotion management behaviors of secondary school administrators did not make a significant difference in terms of management processes according to secondary school teachers’ gender and branch variables; It was concluded that there was a significant difference according to the professional seniority variable. In line with these results, various suggestions were made to practitioners and researchers.
