Examination Of Vocational And Technical Anatolian High School Students' Perceptions Regarding Business Skills Education

Abstract
Bu çalışma, Türkiye’deki Mesleki ve Teknik Anadolu Liseleri denizcilik alanındaki öğrencilerin işletme beceri eğitimine yönelik algılarının ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, çalışmada veri toplama yöntemlerinden anket uygulamasına başvurulmuştur. Anket içerisinde öğrencilerin kişisel bilgilerini ortaya koyan soruların yanında Aktaş’ın (2015) geliştirdiği İşletme Beceri Eğitimine Bakış Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Betimsel tarama modelinde ele alınan çalışmada, öğrencilerin işletme beceri eğitimine ilişkin algıları, “çalışma koşulları, yönetsel koşullar, çalışma alanı, imkânlara ulaşım ve ortamla ilgili kişisel algı” olmak üzere 5 boyutta ele alınmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen bulgularda öğrencilerin genel olarak işletme beceri eğitimine yönelik algılarının düşük olduğu, en yüksek düzeyli algının çalışma koşulları alt boyutuna, en düşük ortalamanın ise imkânlara ulaşım alt boyutuna ait olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

Abstract
This study, was carried out in order to reveal the perceptions of the maritime students of Turkey’s Vocational and Technical Anatolian High Schools towards business skills training. For this purpose,the survey model, which is one of the data collection methods, was used in the study. In addition to the questions revealing the personal information of the students in the questionnaire, the Business Skill Education Scale developed by Aktaş (2015) was used. In the study, which was handled in the descriptive survey model, students' perceptions of business skills training were discussed in 5 dimensions: "working conditions, managerial conditions, workspace, access to opportunities and personal perception of the environment " In the findings obtained in this research, it was determined that the students' perceptions of business skills education were generally low, the highest level of perception belonged to the subdimension of working conditions, and the lowest average belonged to the subdimension of access to opportunities.
