Abstract

Amaç: Yapılan çalışmanın amacı egzersiz yapan ve yapmayan engelli çocuğa sahip ailelerin yaşadığı pozitif ve negatif duygu durumunun belirlenmesidir. Yöntem: Araştırmaya engelli çocuğu olan ve egzersiz yapan 25 kadın, 25erkek 50 katılımcı ve engelli çocuğu olup ta egzersiz yapmayan 50 tane anne baba kontrol grubu (KG) olarak alındı. Kontrol grubu rehabilitasyon merkezine devam eden zihinsel veya bedensel engeli olan öğrenci velileri arasından seçildi. Kontrol grubu da 25 kadın, 25 erkek veli ile oluşturuldu. Bu çalışmada araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen pozitif ve negatif duygu durum ölçeği, sosyo-demografik ölçek ve Beck Depresyon ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Kontrol grubu ile birlikte test-re test tekniği de kullanılarak pozitif ve negatif duygu durum ölçeği 4 hafta sonunda katılımcılara tekrar uygulanmıştır. Bulgular: Engelli çocuğa sahip egzersiz yapan anne babalarda daha çok pozitif duyguve daha az negatif duyguya sahip olduklaıı görülmüştür. Pozitif duygu açısından baktığımızda egezersiz yapmayan kadınların erkeklerden daha çok pozitif duyguya sahip oldukları saptanmıştır. Tartışma: Deney grubunun daha çok pozitif duyguya sahip olması egzersizin pozitif bir etkiye sahip olduğunu destekler nitelikte olup, egzersiz yapan grupta kadınların daha çok pozitif duygu durumuna sahip oldukları gözlemlenirken, egzersiz yapmayan grupta da kadınların erkeklerden daha çok pozitif duygu durumu belirtmeleri dikkat çekmektedir.

Abstract

Purpose: The aim of the study is to determine the positive and negative emotional state of families with disabled children who do or do not exercise. Method: 25 female and 25 male 50 participants with disabled children who exercise and 50 parents with disabled children who do not exercise were included in the control group (KG). The control group was chosen among the parents of students with mental or physical disabilities attending the rehabilitation center. The control group was formed with 25 female and 25 male parents. In this study, positive and negative mood scale, socio-demographic scale and Beck Depression scale developed by the researcher were used. Positive and negative mood scales were applied to the participants again at the end of 4 weeks by using the test-retest technique together with the control group. Results: Parents with disabled children who exercise were found to have more positive emotions and less negative emotions. In terms of positive emotion, it was determined that women who do not exercise have more positive emotions than men. Discussion: The fact that the experimental group had more positive emotions supports the fact that exercise has a positive effect.
