Abstract
Tarih sayfalarına bakıldığında kadın ve erkek arasındaki eşitsizlikler, kadını düşünsel anlamda da adaletsizlik, bir güç kıyaslaması ile cinsiyet bakımından hep ikinci plana atılmıştır. Doğu ve batı toplumlarında da ‘‘erkek’’ olgusu her daim çok önemli olmuştur. Toplumun önemli yapı taşlarından birisi olan ‘‘kadın’’ ise geçmiş dönemlerden günümüze kadar bu farklı sosyal eşitsizlikler içerisinde daima yer almıştır. Bu bağlamda kadının yaşadığı zorluklar, sosyoloji, psikoloji ve felsefe gibi bilimsel alanlar içerisinde ele alınırken, sanat alanında da farklı şekillerde değerlendirilmiştir. Kadın ve sanat kavramlarına toplumların bakış açıları yüzyıllardır değişkenlik gösterse de bu süreç günümüzde de aynı şekilde devam etmektedir. Dolayısıyla sanatta da kadın imgesi, cinsiyet ve bedeni üzerinden, kadın haklarına yönelik yürütülen politikalarla, kadının toplumsal hayattaki varlığı farklı açılardan ele alınarak incelenmiştir. Günümüzde performans sanatı ile kadın imgesi birçok alanlarda olduğu gibi toplumsal konular içerisinde yer almaktadır. ‘‘Tiyatro, görsel sanatlar, dans ve müzik gibi farklı disiplinler arasındaki sınırları ortadan kaldırmayı amaçlayan performans sanatı ile kadın olgusu aktarılmak istenen temel düşünceler içerisinde ifade edilmiştir’’(Kılınç, 2007: 36). Bu araştırmada, geçmiş ile günümüz zaman dilimi içerisinde kadın figürünün toplumdaki konumunun, psikolojik ve sosyal boyutunun performans sanatı ile ortaya çıkarılması amaçlanmıştır. Bu kapsamda çalışma, performans sanatı ile ilgilenen Türk sanatçısı Elçin Acun’un, sanatında kadın bedenini kullanarak kadının toplumdaki yerini vurguladığı eserleri ile sınırlı tutulmuştur. Ayrıca yöntem olarak nitel araştırma modeli tekniği içerisinde literatür tarama ve eser inceleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır.

Abstract
When looking at the pages of history, inequalities between men and women, injustice in the intellectual sense, have always been pushed women into the backround in terms of gender with a power comparison. The phenomenon of "men" has always been very important in the eastern and western societies. "Women", which is one of the important building blocks of the society, has always been among these different social inequalities since the past. In this context, while the difficulties experienced by women are addressed in scientific fields such as sociology, psychology and philosophy, they are evaluated in different ways in the field of art. Although the perspectives of societies on the concepts of women and art have been varied for centuries, this process continues in the same way today. Thus, in art, the image of women has been analyzed through gender and body, policies carried out towards women's rights, and the existence of women in social life has been examined from different perspectives. Today, the art of performance and the image of women are in social issues as in many other fields. Together with the performance art, which aimed at eliminating the boundaries between different disciplines such as theater, visual arts, dance and music. The phenomenon of women is expressed in the funamental thoughts which are desired to be conveyed (Kılınç, 2007: 36). In this study, it is aimed to reveal the position, psychological and social dimension of the female figure in the society with performance art in the past and present time frame. In this context, the study was limited to how the Turkish artist Elçin Acun, who was interested in performance art, emphasized the place of women in society by using the female body in her art.
