Abstract

The style, which spread around the world, highlighted typography as the primary element in the field of design, while some posters were designed with the influences created by Switzerland, some of them moved away from the style and reflected their differences. The social changes experienced after the Second World War and the innovations in digital technology, especially in the 1970s, contributed to the development of typography by providing the emergence of these differences. In this study, the effects of the changes in typography on poster designs from 1950 to the period in which the postmodern graphic understanding began to emerge is examined by bringing them together with related concepts and by literature review.
