Abstract

Abstract

Nefi is a true genius of art with his extraordinary expressiveness in poetry. Known as a poet of methiye(eulogy) and fahriye, Nefi has created a unique world of poetry. Its unique imagination world is distinguished from its contemporaries with its fine and lithe poetic language. He brings the Ottoman glory of the century he lived to his poetry. He managed to build his own poetry universe on aesthetics and originality, on a ground-bound to tradition with a proud manner. Nefi likes to surprise the reader and upset their perceptions. When it comes to satire, his name is written first. There are poets that he influenced as much as he influenced. His successors chose "to be like Nefi" as their target. Having gained a creative imagination with the influence of the Sabk-i Hindi style, the poet is skilled in finding and using the rare. In this study, Harold Bloom's "the anxiety of influence" as a theory of poetry has been applied to Nefi's poetry that is fed by tradition. Composed of six revisionist categories, this theory is more suitable for classical poets and poetry than modern poetry. In the context of successor-predecessor or parental poetry, it is possible to see what kind of a change occurred when we look at Classical in general and Nefi's poetry in particular. In this context, first of all, Bloom's six revisionist categories were explained in general terms in the study, and then the anxiety of influence was exemplified with couplets.
