Abstract
Bu makale, genel anlamda din ve kültür ilişkisini sosyolojik bir bakışla incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Çalışma boyunca din ve kültür olgusu, sosyolojik bir çerçevede açıklandıktan sonra, her iki olguya ait temsillerin birbirleriyle olan ilişkileri ve grift durumları anlaşılmaya çalışılmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, din ve kültür tanımları, salt özcü bir yaklaşımla ele alınmamakta, daha çok, özcü ve sosyal inşacı yaklaşımların bir sentezinden faydalanılarak, bu iki kavram tanımlanmaktadır. Din ve kültür olgusunun maddi ve manevi unsurlarının dışavurumları, örneklerle gündelik hayatın içinden gösterilmekte ve aynı anda söz konusu iki olgunun karşılıklı ilişkilerinin yoğunluğu netleştirilmektedir. Örneğin; mimari, giyim-kuşam, sanat, eğlence, yemek ve ölüm-cenaze gibi unsurlar üzerinden din ve kültür ilişkisi somutlaştırılmaktadır. Tartışılan konu açısından ön plana çıkan iki sorun vardır: Birincisi, inanç ve kültür unsurlarının iç içe geçmiş olmalarıdır. İkincisi ise, söz konusu iki kavramın temsillerini birbirinden ayırt etme güçlüğüdür. Bu iki problem, din ve kültür ilişkisini bir dönüşüme dâhil ederek esasında senkretik bir durum oluşturmuştur. Bu anlamda iki kavram da birbirlerine kıyasla iki toplumsal görüngü olarak aynı değerde ön plana çıktığı görülmüştür. Çalışmanın bilimsel literatüre katkısı, din sosyolojisi açısından kültür ve din ilişkisine ve onun temsilleriyle hangi tür örneklerle görülebileceğine dair somut bir katkıdır. Ayrıca genel anlamda bilimsel literatürde tartışılan din ve kültür olgusunun kavramsal çıkmazları bazı değerlendirmelerimizle yorumlanarak bu anlamda yapılan tartışmalara kapı aralamaktadır. Sonuç olarak din ve kültür ilişkisi kavramsal, teorik ve somut örneklerle açıklanmaya ve anlaşılmaya çalışılmıştır.

Abstract
This article contains a sociological overview of the relationship between religion and culture in general. Throughout the study, after explaining the phenomenon of religion and culture in a sociological framework, the relations and intertwined situations of the representations of both phenomena are tried to be understood. In this study, the definitions of religion and culture are not addressed solely with an essentialist approach, but rather on the basis of a social constructionist definition / perspective / paradigm. The expressions of the material and spiritual elements of the phenomenon of religion and culture are illustrated with examples from daily life and the intensity of the mutual relations of these two phenomena is simultaneously clarified. For example; The relationship between religion and culture is embodied through elements such as architecture, clothing, art, entertainment, food and death-funeral. There are two prominent problems in terms of the subject discussed. The first is that belief and cultural elements are intertwined. The second is the difficulty in distinguishing the representations of the two concepts in question. These two problems essentially created a syncretic situation by incorporating the relationship between religion and culture into a transformation. In this sense, it has been observed that both concepts stand out as two social phenomena at the same value compared to each other. The contribution of the study to the scientific literature is a concrete contribution to the relationship between culture and religion in terms of the sociology of religion and with which examples can be seen through its representations. In addition, the conceptual dilemmas of the phenomenon of religion and culture, which are discussed in the scientific literature in general, are interpreted with some of our evaluations, opening the door to discussions in this sense. As a result, the relationship between religion and culture has been tried to be explained and understood with conceptual, theoretical and concrete examples.
