Abstract
Bir düşünme etkinliği olan felsefe, kendini dilde gösterir. Filozof, fikirlerini aktarırken dili söyleme dönüştürür. Söylemini oluştururken varolan, dil ve düşünce arasındaki ilişkiyi inceler. Felsefi söylem; filozofun ele aldığı konuya, bu konuya yaklaşımına ve konuyu dile getiriş biçimine göre şekillenir. Felsefenin şiir, roman, tiyatro gibi farklı söylem biçimleri vardır. Günümüzde felsefi söylemin karşımıza çıktığı alanlardan biri de sinemadır. Düşünce, sinema ve felsefenin ortak noktasıdır. Filmin ortaya koyduğu görsel temsili ve söylemi şekillendiren düşünce yapısıdır. Bu araştırmada Agora filmi bağlamında, filmde yer alan felsefi söylemin tespit edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Film, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden söylem analiz kullanarak incelenmiştir. Filozof, dili söylem haline getiren tarihsel bir öznedir ve felsefe tarihi filozofların felsefi söylemlerinin toplamıdır. Buradan hareketle, araştırma amacına uygun olarak farklı söylem yaklaşımları arasından Foucaultcu söylem analizi yaklaşımı benimsenmiştir. İlk olarak filmdeki söylem nesneleri ve felsefi söylemler belirlenmiş, bunların felsefi problemler ile ilişkileri irdelenmiştir. Sonrasında felsefi söylemlerin tarihsel boyutu analiz edilmiştir. 4. Yüzyılda yaşayan matematikçi, astronom ve filozof İskenderiyeli Hypatia’nın yaşamını konu alan Agora filminde bilim felsefesi ve din felsefesine dair söylemler tespit edilmiştir.

Abstract
Philosophy, a thinking activity, reveals itself in language. Philosopher transforms language to discourse while conveying ideas. Philosopher analyzes the potential correlation between language and idea for developing a discourse. Philosophical discourse has been figured out in accordance to the plot of philosopher, how to approach to the plot and render to the way philosopher articulates the plot in the language. There are different forms of discourse such as poetry, novel and theatre. Cinema is recently the one of the disciplines to reflect the philosophical discourse. Idea is definitely common point for both cinema and philosophy. It is the form of idea to state out the visual representation of the movie and discourse. In this study, it is aimed to determine the philosophical discourse within the context of the movie of Agora. The movie has been analyzed with discourse analysis from the one of the qualitative research methods. The philosopher is a historical subject that transforms the language to discourse and the history of philosophy is total of the philosophical discourse by philosophers. Therefore, the approach of Foucauldian discourse analysis is adopted from different discourse approaches in accordance to the aim of this research. First of all, the discourse objects and philosophical discourses have been determined in the movie; thus clarified their correlation with philosophical problems. Then, the historical element of the philosophical discourses has been analyzed. As a result, it has been inferred discourses on the philosophy of science and the philosophy of religion from the movie Agora which narrates the life story of Hypatia of Alexandria, who was a mathematician, astronomer and philosopher in the 4th Century.
