Abstract
ÖZ İş ve Meslek danışmanlığı, bireyin gelecekteki hayatını önemli ölçüde etkileyecek bir aşamadır. İş danışmanlığı, işsiz kalan bireyin yeni bir iş edinme aşamasında karar almasıyken, meslek danışmanlığı bireyin gelecekte çalışacağı mesleği belirlemesi aşamasıdır. Her iki durumda özelde bireyi genelde ise içinde yaşadığı toplumu olumlu ya da olumsuz etkileyecek nitelikte kararlardır. Çünkü istemediği bir işte çalışmak veya sevmeyeceği bir mesleği seçmek, bireyin hem mutsuz hem de verimsiz olmasına yol açabilecektir. Bu bağlamda Türkiye’de tarafından yürütülen iş ve meslek danışmanlığı özel bir öneme sahiptir. Çalışmada İŞKUR tarafından yürütülen bu hizmetin yasal çerçevesi ortaya konulduktan sonra uygulamalar değerlendirilmiş ve daha verimli ve etkin olması için çeşitli öneriler ortaya konulmuştur.

Abstract
Job and vocational counseling are a stage that will significantly affect the future life of an individual. Job counseling is the decision of an unemployed individual at the stage of getting a job while vocational counseling is the stage where the individual determines the profession that they will carry out in the future. In both cases, they are decisions that will negatively or positively affect the individual privately and, in a more general sense, the society in which the individual lives. Because, working in a job that the individual does not want or choosing a profession that they would not like can cause them become both unhappy and inefficient. Therefore, job and vocational counseling carried out by İŞKUR (the Turkish Employment Organization) is of importance from this perspective. In this study, after presenting the legal framework of this service carried out by İŞKUR, the applications were assessed and the suggestions for a more efficient and effective service process were presented.
