Abstract
Sinema ve kentlerin bilinirliği arasında doğrusal bir ilişkinin olduğunu söylemek mümkündür. Özellikle son yıllarda sinema filmlerin çekildiği ve film festivallerin düzenlendiği mekânlar öne çıkmaktadır. Kentlerin imaj ve tanıtımına pozitif katkı sağlayan film festivalleri, Türkiye’nin birçok kentinde rağbet görmektedir. Türkiye’de bilinen festivallerin başında Antalya, İstanbul, Ankara gelirken Kars, Malatya, Edirne gibi kentler de bu organizasyonlara ev sahipliği yapmıştır/yapmaktadır. 2003 ve 2008 yılları arasında Kars ilinde düzenlenen Gezici Film Festivali nedeniyle birçok yönetmen ve oyuncu bölgeye gelip film çekmiş ve bu etkinlik kapsamında festivale yoğun ilgi gösterilmiştir. Festivaller ve kentlerde çekilen filmler bölgenin veya kentin imajına doğrudan katkı sağlamaktadır. Belli şehirler filmler için bazı dönemlerde tercih edilmektedir. Bu çalışma kapsamında yer alan Gezici Film Festivali ve Kars ili nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden olan betimsel analiz tekniğiyle incelenecektir. Kars ilinde düzenlenen Gezici Film Festivali’nin şehre olan etkileri ve bu şehirde çekilen filmlerin kente kazanımları çalışmanın ana temasını oluşturmaktadır.

Abstract
It is possible to say that there is a linear relationship between the cinema and the awareness of the cities. Especially in recent years, places where movie films are filmed and film festivals are organized are becoming more prominent. Film festivals that contribute positively to the image and promotion of the cities are popular in many cities of Turkey. At the beginning of festivals known in Turkey, cities such as Kars, Malatya and Edirne have also hosted these organizations in Antalya, Istanbul and Ankara. Between 2003 and 2008, a number of directors and actors filmed and filmed for the Festival on Wheels, held in the province of Kars. Films in festivals and cities directly contribute to the image of the region or city. Certain cities are preferred for films in some periods. The Gezici Film Festival and the province of Kars in the scope of this study will be examined by descriptive analysis technique which is one of the qualitative research methods. The effects of the Film Festival held in the province of Kars and the films taken in this city constitute the main theme of studying the urban achievements.
