Abstract
Bu araştırmanın amacı, Kahramanmaraş ilinde faaliyet gösteren Ticaret ve Sanayi Odasına kayıtlı mobilya üretim tesislerinin, modern üretim sistemlerini ne derecede kullandıklarını ölçmektir. Çalışmada bu alanda faaliyet gösteren firmalarla mülakat yolu ile anket yapılarak veriler elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgulara göre firmaların modern üretim sistemlerini gelişen teknolojiye oranla yeterince kullanamadıkları ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu olumsuzluğun ana nedenleri arasında, yüksek finansman maliyeti ve uzman personel yetersizliğinin öne çıktığı tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca firmaların modern üretim teknolojilerinden yararlanmalarına engel teşkil eden faktörlerin firmaların büyüklüğü veya küçüklüğü ile ilgisinin bulunmadığı sonucuna varılmıştır.

Abstract
The aim of this research is to measure the extent to which the furniture production facilities registered in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Kahramanmaras are using modern production systems. Questionnaires were obtained through interviews with companies operating in this field during the study. According to the findings, it has been revealed that firms can not use modern production systems adequately in terms of developing technology. Among the main causes of this adverse impact, high funding costs and insufficient expert staff have been identified. Moreover, the factors that hampered firms to benefit from modern production technologies have come to the conclusion that firms are not concerned about the size or the smallness of firms.
