Abstract
Araştırmada, Türk süsleme sanatında; bitkisel süslemeler arasında önemli bir bezeme unsuru olan nar motifi ele alınarak, Türk işlemelerinde kullanımı ve anlamı üzerinde durulmaktadır.
Arapça kökenli olan “Bereket” sembolü olan nar, aynı zamanda doğurganlığın, yaşamın, ölümsüzlüğün de simgesidir. Türklerde ise bereket sembollerinin kullanım amacı, sonsuz mutluluk, bolluk anlamlarını ifade etmektir.
Tarihte birçok uygarlık ve kültürlerde bazen ölümsüzlüğün, bazen mutluluğun sembolü olmuştur. “Nar” süsleme sanatlarının hemen hemen her alanında motif olarak kullanılmış ve Türk işlemlerine zenginlik getirmiştir. Türk süsleme sanatı içerisinde bitkisel bezemelerin içinde yer alan meyvelerden olan “NAR” önemli bir bezeme unsuru olmuştur.
Dekoratif niteliği nedeniyle nar meyvesi ve çiçekleriyle beraber motif olarak işlemeleri süslemiş, efsanelerin ve cennet meyvesi özelliğini bu desenlerde tüm ihtişamı ile yansıtmıştır. “Nar” motifi, çeşitli Türk bezemeleri arasında hem dekorasyona hem de görsel çeşitlemelerinde geniş olanaklar sağladığından tarihsel süreçte çok fazla kullanılmıştır ve en güzel örnekleri de işlemelerde görülmüştür.

In the Turks, the purpose of using the symbols of abundance is to express the meanings of endless happiness and abundance.It has been a symbol of sometimes immortality and sometimes happiness in many civilizations and cultures throughout history. “Pomegranate” was used as a motif in almost every field of decorative arts and enriched Turkish embroidery. “Pearl”, which is one of the fruits in the herbal decorations in Turkish decorations, has been an important decoration element.Due to the decorative elements, they decorated the embroideries with pomegranate fruit and flowers as motifs, and the legends and the fruit of heaven were reflected in these patterns with all their splendor. The “Pomegranate” motif has been used a lot in the past, among various Turkish ornaments, both for decoration and for visual variations, and the most beautiful examples are its photographs in embroidery.
