Abstract
Günümüz dünyasında küresel boyutlu bir çevre problemi olan hava kirliliği; havada katı, sıvı ve gaz halde bulunan kirleticilerin insan sağlığına, canlı hayatına ve ekolojik dengeye zarar verecek miktar ve sürede atmosferde bulunması olarak ifade edilmektedir. Hava kirliliği çevresel bir problem olarak başta sanayileşmiş ülkeler olmak üzere birçok ülkede etkili olmaktadır. Hava kirliliğinin yoğun olduğu ülkemizde ise son dönemlerde hava kirliliği ile ilgili ön plana çıkan illerimizden biri Iğdır'dır. Gerek ulusal gerekse uluslararası birçok rapor ildeki hava kirliliği problemini ortaya koymaktadır. İsviçre merkezli IQAir şirketi tarafından yapılan araştırmada PM2.5 değerlerine göre Iğdır, 2021 yılı için Avrupa’nın en kirli kenti seçilmiştir. Yine Çevre, Şehircilik ve İklim Değişikliği Bakanlığının verilerine göre Iğdır'da hava kalitesini düşüren kirleticiler DSÖ, AB ve ulusal mevzuat değerlerimizden yüksek çıkmaktadır. İldeki hava kirliliğinde temel faktör topografik yapı ve meteorolojik özelliklerden kaynaklanan inversiyon olayıdır. İnversiyon dışında birçok beşerî faktör de kirliliğin artışına etki etmektedir. Çalışmanın bulgularını elde etmek için Çevre, Şehircilik ve İklim Değişikliği Bakanlığı, MGM ve TÜİK verileri kullanılmıştır. Yine konu ile ilgili ilin birçok kamu kurumu yetkilisi ile görüşülmüştür. Elde edilen veriler değerlendirilerek ildeki hava kirliliğinin sebepleri ve hava kalitesini arttırmaya yönelik çözüm önerileri ortaya konulmuştur.

Abstract
The air pollution which is a global environmental argument in today’s world, is depicted as the pollutants which are available in the air in the solid, liquid and gas shapes to exist in the atmosphere up to the amount and period of time that they may harm the human beings ‘ life, living creautres and ecological balance. Air pollution is efficient in many countries especially in industrialised countries as en environmental problem. In our country, where air pollution is in massive condition, Iğdır is one of the outstanding provinces in terms of air pollution. Both many national and international reports put forth the air pollution problem in the province for consideration. Iğdır was elected the most polluted province in Europe fort he year 2021 according to the PM 2.5 values in a research conducted by IQAir firm centered in Swizerland. The pollutants which degrade tha air quality in Iğdır are higher than the WHO, UN and national legislation values according to the data provided by The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climat Change. The basic factor of the air pollution in the province is resulted from topographic structure and inversion which takes root from the meteorological properties. Many hominoid factors except for the inversion afffect the increase in the pollution as well. The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climat Change, MGM an TUİK data are used obtain the findings of the study. Many pulic authorities in the province were also visited concerning the topic. Some solution proposals were put forth to increase the air quality and to find the reasons of the air pollution in the province by evaluating the data obtained.
