Abstract
Çocukların iyi bir düşünür olmalarında bilim eğitiminin rolü oldukça önemlidir. Çünkü çocukların sahip oldukları, meraklı ve araştırmacı olma eğilimleri, çok erken dönemlerden itibaren her yerde bilim yapma fırsatını mümkün kılmaktadır. Bu nokta da önemli olan öğretmenlerin, çocukların yeni fikirler ve anlamlar üretme çabasında bilimi nasıl kullanmaları gerektiği ve hangi yöntem ve stratejilerle çocuklara yaklaşması gerektiğidir. Okul öncesi eğitim programında kullanılan yöntem ve tekniklerin bilimsel bir anlayış ile sunulması çocukların bilimsel düşünme becerilerini destekleme konusunda rolü son derece önemlidir. Ulusal ve uluslararası alanda başarıya ulaşmış bilim eğitimi programlarının en ayırt edici yönü bilimi tüm program boyunca etkili bir şekilde uygulamalarıdır. Bu doğrultuda erken dönemden itibaren başlayan etkili bilim uygulamalarının amacı; onları mühendis ya da fizik bilimci yapmaktan öte, iyi bir bilimsel düşünür olmaları konusunda desteklemek, günlük yaşamlarında kendi kendilerine yetmelerini sağlamak ve ihtiyaçlarına ulaşmayı kolaylaştırmaktır. Çocukların ihtiyacı olan becerileri ve bağlantıları güçlendirmek ve kalıcı hale getirmek, erken dönemde yapılacak doğru müdahaleler ile mümkündür. Erken dönemde etkili bilim uygulamalarında ki en önemli olgu ise, öğretmenlerin sahip olduğu bilimsel anlayış ile birlikte, mevcut yöntemleri etkili bir şekilde bütünleştirme bilgi ve becerisinde yatmaktadır. Çalışma kapsamında erken dönemde bilim nedir ve etkili bilim eğitimi ne anlama gelmektedir, bilimsel yöntemin okul öncesi eğitim programı boyunca tüm süreçlere yerleştirilmesi, programda kullanılan farklı yöntemler ve bilim eğitimi ilişkisi, örnek etkinlikler ve öneriler ele alınmıştır. Buna bağlık olarak çalışmada, erken dönemde bilim eğitimi ile çocukların ihtiyaç duyabileceği bilimsel içerik bilgisinin kazandırılması ve ilgili becerilerin geliştirilmesinde, diğer alanlar ile bütünleştirilmesinin öneminin ve etkili bilim eğitimi uygulamalarının anlaşılması amaçlanmıştır.

Abstract
The role of science education is very important for children to become good thinkers. Because children's tendency to be curious and inquisitive makes it possible to do science everywhere from very early ages. At this point, what is important is how teachers should use science in the effort of children to produce new ideas and meanings, and with which methods/techniques they should approach children. Presenting the methods and techniques used in the preschool education program with a scientific understanding is extremely important in supporting children's scientific thinking skills. The most distinctive aspect of science educational programs that have achieved success in the national and international arena is that they apply science effectively throughout the program. In this direction, the aim of effective science practices starting from the early period; rather than making them engineers or physical scientists, it is to support them to be good scientific thinkers, to enable them to be self-sufficient in their daily lives and to facilitate their needs. Strengthening the skills and connections that children need and making them permanent is possible with the right interventions in the early period. The most important phenomenon in effective science practices in the early period lies in the knowledge and ability of teachers to effectively integrate existing methods with their scientific understanding. Within the scope of the study, what is science in the early period and what effective science education means, the placement of scientific method in all processes throughout the preschool education program, the relationship between different methods used in the educational program and science education, sample activities and suggestions are discussed. Accordingly, in this study, it is aimed to understand the importance of integrating it with other fields and effective science education practices in gaining the knowledge of scientific content that children may need with early science education and developing related skills.
