Abstract
Göç, bireylerin siyasal, ekonomik, kültürel vb. sebeplerden ötürü yaşadıkları yerden başka bir yere taşınma durumudur. Sosyal politika ise devletin ülke insanının refahına yönelik aldığı kararlar ve uyguladığı politikalar bütünüdür. Göçe neden olan unsurlar, sosyal politika alanını etkilemektedir. Aynı şekilde göçün sonuçları da sosyal politika anlayışını ve uygulamalarını şekillendirmektedir. Bu çalışmada, John Steinbeck’in Gazap Üzümleri adlı eserinde göçün nedenleri ve sonuçları sosyal politika açısından ele alınacaktır. Göç ile sosyal politika kavramları izah edildikten sonra göç ve sosyal politika ilişkisine yer verilecektir. Göçün nedenleri 1929 Ekonomik Buhranı, (Dust Bowl) Kum Fırtınaları ve tarımda makineleşme başlıkları altında incelenecektir. Göçün sonuçları ise sosyal dışlanma, yedek işgücü ordusu, işsizlik, yoksulluk konuları ekseninde ortaya konulacaktır. Bu çalışmada göçün, ev sahibi ülkenin sosyal politika uygulamalarını göçmenleri dikkate alarak oluşturması gerektiği sonucuna varılmıştır. Kuşkusuz, bir toplumda farklı kesimlere sunulan hizmetlerin dengeli olması, sosyal adaletin ve barışın oluşmasını sağlayacaktır.

Abstract
Migration is the movement of people from one location to another for a variety of reasons such as political, economic, cultural, etc. Social policy is taken all of decisions and implemented policies by the state for the welfare of people of the country. The factors that cause migration affect on the field of social policy. Similarly, migration's consequences also shape social policy understanding and practices. In this study, the causes and consequences of migration will be discussed in connection with social policy in John Steinbeck's Grapes of Wrath. The relationship between migration and social policy will be discussed after explained the concepts of migration and social policy. The causes of migration will be investigated under the title of the 1929 Economic Depression, Dust Bowl and mechanized agricultural. The consequences of migration will be revealed on the basis of social exclusion, reserved army of labour, unemployment and poverty. In this study, it was concluded that immigration should create the social policy practices of the host country by considering the immigrants. Undoubtedly, providing balanced services to different segments of a society will ensure social justice and peace.
