Abstract
İnsanların bedenlerinde taşıdıkları en önemli kimlik yüzdür. Geçmişten günümüze kadar yüz ifadelerinin anlık yansıması olan portreler resim, heykel gibi farklı sanat dallarında kendini göstermiştir. Değişen dünyanın getirdikleri ile portreler farklı disiplinler için önemli bir konu olmuştur. Konu olduğu alanlardan biri de farklı malzeme ve teknik ile geniş bir kavram olan tekstildir. Önemli bir tekstil malzemesi olan ipliğin biçim kazanmasına yardımcı olan bazı teknikler ve araçlar vardır. Basit araçlarla elde yapılan örme sınıfına giren tığ örgü, eski zamanlardan beri farklı ürünleri yapmak için kullanılan bir tekniktir. Tığ ile yapılan örgü portre çalışmalar farklı iplikler ile renklendirilmekte ve örgü ile yapılan farklı dokularla birlikte boyut kazanan örnekler ortaya çıkmaktadır. Yapılan inceleme sonucunda dünyanın farklı yerinde yaşayan, örgü portre yapan sanatçılara rastlanmıştır.
Geleneksel tekniklerin sanatsal çalışmalarla harmanlanarak kullanılması ile ortaya çıkan portre çalışmalar, el sanatlarının yeniden canlanması anlamında önemlidir. Bu alanda çalışma yapan araştırmacıların yararlanmaları amacıyla yapılan çalışmada; örgü portre yapan sanatçılar arasından seçilen altı sanatçı ve o sanatçılara ait üçer çalışma, teknik, kullanılan malzeme, boyut gibi özelliklerine yer verilmiştir. Çalışmanın konusunu, dünyanın farklı ülkelerinde tığ örgü portre yapan sanatçılar ve çalışmaları oluşturmaktadır.

Abstract
The most important identity that people carry on their bodies is the face. Portraits, which are the instant reflection of facial expressions from past to present, have also shown themselves in different branches of art such as painting and sculpture. With what the changing world brought, portraits became an important subject for different disciplines. One of the fields it is the subject of is textile, which is a broad concept with different materials and techniques. There are some techniques and tools that help the yarn, which is an important textile material, to gain shape. Belonging to the class of handmade knitting with simple tools, crochet is a technique that has been used to make different products since ancient times. Knitting portrait works made with crochet are colored with different yarns and examples that gain dimension with different textures made with knitting emerge. As a result of the examination, artists living in different parts of the world and making knitted portraits were encountered.
Portrait works, which emerged by blending traditional techniques with artistic works, are important in terms of reviving handicrafts. In the study conducted for the benefit of researchers working in this field; Six artists selected from among the artists who made knitted portraits and three works of each of these artists were included in the features such as technique, material used and size. The subject of the study is the artists who make crochet portraits in different countries of the world and their works.
