Abstract
Kent yaşamının zorluğu ve yoğunluğunun yanı sıra, Covid 19 salgını sonrasında kırsal bölgelere ilgi artmaktadır. Bu durum doğaya dönüş, organik beslenme ve sağlıklı gıda tüketimine olan talebi arttırmakta ve üretimde farklı iş kollarının oluşmasına zemin hazırlamaktadır. Kaz yetiştiriciliği son yıllarda bu iş kollarının başında gelmektedir.
Kaz eti ve kazdan elde edilen diğer ürünler yüksek katma değer sağlayan ürünler arasında yer almaktadır. Kaz eti, kaz yağı, kaz tüyü, kaz ciğeri ve kaz ciğeri yağı kazdan elde edilen başlıca ürünlerdir. Kazın diğer kanatlı türlerine göre hastalıklara ve farklı iklim koşullarına dayanıklı olması, merada otlayarak beslenmesi ve kaz talebinin ulusal ve uluslararası piyasalardaki her geçen gün artışı ile üreticiler için karlı bir alan yaratmaktadır.
Çalışmada ekonomik değeri ve fırsatları artan kaz yetiştiriciliğinin Ardahan ilindeki durumunu değerlendirmek amacıyla swot analiz yapılmıştır. Analizden elde edilen bulgulara göre, Ardahan ilinde kaz üretiminin artırılması yönünde zayıf olduğu birçok husus bulunmakla birlikte bu zayıflıkları yenecek üstünlükleri ve çok çeşitli fırsatları bulunmaktadır. Bu bağlamda güçlü yönleri öne çıkartacak, fırsatları değerlendirecek bir yatırım ortamının sağlanması ve bunun yanı sıra tehditlerin bertaraf edilerek zayıf yönlerin güçlendirilmesine yönelik adımların atılması gereklidir.

Abstract
Interest to countryside has been increased in recent years due to the difficulty and intensity of urban life, especially after the Covid 19 epidemic. Topics like return to nature, organic nutrition and healthy food with no additives result in increased diversity in rural production and set the stage for creating various business lines. Goose breeding is one of these new business lines in recent years.
Goose meat other products obtained from goose are high value added products. Goose meat, goose fat, goose feather, goose liver and goose liver fat are main products obtained from goose. Goose breeding creates a profitable opportunity for investors due to the facts that the goose is resistant to diseases, adapted to different climate conditions compared to other poultry species, is fed by grazing in the pasture and an increased the demand for goose in recent years in the international markets.
In the study, swot analysis was carried out in order to evaluate the situation of goose breeding in Ardahan province for its increased economic value and its opportunities. Results indicated that, although there were many weak points in increasing goose production in Ardahan province, there were advantages and various opportunities to overcome these weaknesses. Therefore, necessary steps should be taken to provide an investment environment that would highlight the strengths to utilize the opportunities, as well as to eliminate the threats and strengthen the weaknesses.
