Abstract
Nüfus sayımlardan elde edilen sonuçlar, devletlerin ekonomik ve sosyal gücünü gösteren önemli bir veri toplama şeklidir. Bu nedenle de yüksek nüfusa sahip olmak çoğu zaman devletlerin güçlü bir yapıya sahip olduğunu göstermiştir. Devletler yaptıkları her planlamayı, sahip oldukları insan sayısı üzerinden değerlendirmiştir. M.1840 ( H.1256 ) tarihinde, Kırşehir iline bağlı Süleymanlı kazasında yapılan nüfus sayımları ve incelediğimiz dönemi aydınlatan belgeler, çalışmamızın ana kaynağını oluşturmaktadır. Makalede, nüfus sayımlarının ana konusunu oluşturan kişilerin fiziksel özellikleri ve meslekleri, kullanmış oldukları lakaplar gibi belli başlı konular değerlendirilecektir. Ayrıca 02097 Kırşehir nüfus defterinin incelenmesi neticesinde elde edilen yeni bilgiler de makalemizde yer alacaktır.

Abstract
Results from population censuses are an important form of data collection that shows the economic and social power of states. Therefore, having a high population has often shown that states have a strong structure. States also evaluated every planning they made based on the number of people they had. M.1840 (H.1256) In the history, the censuses made in Süleymanlı Village of Kırşehir province and the documents illuminating the period we examined are the main source of our study. In the article, certain topics such as the physical characteristics of the people who are the main subject of the censuses, the occupations they have worked with and the nicknames they have used will be evaluated. In addition, new information obtained as a result of examining the new information obtained as a result of examining the 02097 Kırşehir population book will also be included in our article.
