Abstract
Bu çalışmanın amacı, örgütsel demokrasinin örgütsel sessizlik üzerindeki etkisini sorgulamaktır. Bu amaçla bir devlet üniversitesinin toplam 122 akademisyeni üzerinde bir anket uygulaması yürütülmüştür. Anketten elde edilen veriler üzerinde gerekli analizlerin uygulanmasının ardından şu sonuçlara ulaşılmıştır: Genel olarak örgütsel demokrasinin örgütsel sessizlik üzerinde negatif yönde bir etkiye sahip olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Alt boyutlar açısından değerlendirildiğinde ise kişisel değerlere saygı boyutunun hiçbir örgütsel sessizlik boyutu üzerinde etkisine rastlanmamıştır. Sadece otorite algısının örgütsel sessizliğin tüm boyutları üzerinde pozitif etkileri olduğu, demokratik tutum ve demokratik yönetim boyutlarının iş ile ilgili korkular, izolasyon korkusu ve ilişkilere zarar verme korkusu üzerinde anlamlı etkilerine rastlanmış, ancak bu etki demokratik tutum için negatif iken, demokratik yönetim için pozitif bir etkidir. Demokratik davranış boyutunun, sadece izolasyon korkusu üzerinde anlamlı ve negatif bir etki yarattığı da tespit edilmiştir.

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of organizational democracy on organizational silence. For this purpose, a survey was conducted on 122 academicians of a state university. After applying the necessary analyzes on the data obtained from the survey, the following results were obtained: In general, it was determined that organizational democracy had a negative effect on organizational silence. When evaluated in terms of sub-dimensions, no effect of respect for personal values on organizational silence was found. It was found that only the perception of authority had positive effects on all dimensions of organizational silence, and the dimensions of democratic attitude and democratic management had significant effects on work-related fears, fear of isolation, and fear of damaging relationships. It has also been determined that the democratic behavior dimension has a significant and negative effect only on the fear of isolation.
