Abstract
Kültür ve edebiyat, toplumun hafızasına dair özel kodlar taşır. Bu kodların çözülüp aktarılması, toplumları ayakta tutan temel unsurdur. Beşeri ilişkiler dolayısıyla toplumların ve milletlerin etkileşim içinde olması, kaçınılmazdır. Sömürge maksatlı değilse; milletler arası kültür alışverişi, iki tarafı da güçlendirecektir. Dünya kültür tarihine bakıldığında; kültürler arası etkileşimin temelinde ticaret olduğu görülecektir. Tam da bu noktada Yemen ülkesi dikkat çekmektedir. Binlerce yıl boyunca dünya ticaret yollarının merkezinde yer almış olan bu coğrafya, hem diğer kültürleri etkilemiş hem de onlardan etkilenmiştir. Osmanlı ile Yemen arasındaki ilişkiler ise sadece ticaretle sınırlı kalmamıştır. Yemen’in Mekke ve Medine’ye yakın oluşu, Yemen’i Osmanlı için daha da önemli hâle getirmiştir. Bu çalışmada; Yemen asıllı bazı kavram ve şahısların Osmanlı kültür ve edebiyatına etkisi ele alınmıştır. Ele alınan kavramlar izah edilmiştir. Bu kavramların divan şiirine yansımaları, örneklerle açıklanmıştır.

Abstract
Culture and literature carry special codes on the memory of society. Decoding and transmitting these codes is the fundamental element that keeps societies afloat. Because of human relations, it is inevitable that societies and nations will interact. If it is not for colonial purposes, inter-national cultural exchange will strengthen both sides. Looking at the history of world culture, it will be seen that trade is the basis of intercultural interaction. At this point, the country of Yemen is attracting attention. This geography, which has been at the center of world trade routes for thousands of years, has influenced and influenced other cultures. Relations between the Ottoman Empire and Yemen were not limited only to trade. Yemen's proximity to Mecca and Medina made Yemen even more important to the Ottoman Empire. In this study, the influence of some concepts and individuals of Yemeni origin on Ottoman culture and literature was discussed. The concepts discussed are explained. The reflections of these concepts on divan poetry are explained by examples.
