Abstract
Endüstri devrimiyle beraber değişen sosyo-kültürel yapı ile teknolojinin de gelişmesiyle sanat alanında pek çok yeni yaklaşım ortaya çıkmıştır. De Stijl Hareketi de bu dönemle ortaya çıkan en etkili sanat hareketlerinden birisidir. Tasarım, sanat ve mimarlık alanlarında önemli rol oynayan modern bir harekettir. Dönemde birçok sanatçı bu akımdan etkilenip çeşitli eserler vermişlerdir. Bu hareketle verilmiş eserler dönemin manifestosuyla ilintili, birtakım kavramları içerirken, temel geometrik formlar ve evrensel renkleri de içerisinde barındırmaktadır. De Stijl Hareketinin mobilya tasarım yaklaşımlarına etkilerini ortaya koymayı amaçlayan bu çalışmada, bireysel ve kolektif çalışmalarıyla dönemin mimari dilinin oluşumuna katkıda bulunan Gerrit Rietveld tasarımları ele alınmıştır. Çağdaş mobilya tasarımlarında De Stijl hareketinin biçime ve öze yönelik etkileri araştırılmış olup renk kullanımı dönemin temel öğelerinden biri olduğu görülmüştür. Bu bağlamda rengin etkili bir biçimde kullanıldığı De Stijl Dönemi’nde Gerrit Rietveld mobilya tasarımları üzerinden renk kavramı konu alınarak renk ve biçim ilişkisi irdelenmiştir. Çalışma, bir döneme ışık tutması açısından literatüre artı değer kazandıracağı düşünülmektedir.

Abstract
Following the change in socio-cultural structure and the developments in technology with the industrial revolution, many new approaches had emerged in the field of art. De Stijl Movement is one of the most influential art movements that emerged in this period. During this period, several artists were influenced by this movement and put forward various works. The works produced with this movement contain some concepts related to the manifesto of the period, while also harboring basic geometric forms and universal colors. Gerrit Rietveld's designs, whose individual and collective works contributed to the formation of the architectural language of the period, are discussed in this study which aims to reveal the effects of De Stijl Movement on furniture design approaches. In contemporary furniture designs, the effects of De Stijl movement on form and essence were investigated and it was found that color usage was one of the basic elements of the period. In this context, based on the concept of color, the relation between color and form was scrutinized over Gerrit Rietvel furniture designs during the De Stijl period when color was used effectively. The study is thought to add value to the literature in terms of shedding a light on a period.
