Abstract
Bu çalışmanın amacı, ortaokul-lise öğrencilerinin ve öğretmenlerinin kitap kavramına ilişkin geliştirdikleri metaforları incelemektir. Bu çalışmada, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden biri olan olgubilim modeli kullanılmıştır. Çalışmaya 2018-2019 Eğitim-Öğretim Yılı II. Döneminde İstanbul İli Avcılar ve Küçükçekmece ilçe sınırları içerisinde yer alan bir ortaokul ve bir lise öğrenim gören 231 öğrenci ve görev yapan 61 öğretmen katılmıştır. Öğrencilerin ve Öğretmenlerin “kitap” kavramına yönelik metaforlar geliştirdikleri dokümanların çözümlenmesi içerik analizi yöntemi ile yapılmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin analizi dokümanların elektronik ortama aktarılması ve ayıklanması, metafor ve gerekçelerin sınıflandırılması, kavramsal kategorilerin geliştirilmesi, geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışmaları ve nicel veri analizi aşamalarından oluşmaktadır. Araştırmaya katılan lise ve ortaokul öğrencileri 118, öğretmenler ise 42 metafor geliştirilmiştir. Kitap kavramına ilişkin öğretmen tarafından geliştirilen 42 metafor 6 kavramsal kategori altında, öğrenciler tarafından geliştirilen 118 metaforda ise 5 kavramsal kategori altında toplanmıştır.

Abstract
The aim of this study is to investigate the metaphors that the primary and secondary school students and teachers have had about the book concepts in this study, phenomology model, one of the qualitive research method have been used in this study .231 students who have been studying and 61 teachers who have been working in a high school in Küçükçekmece and Avcılar in İstanbul in second term of 2018-2019 instruction and education year. The analysis of the documents that the students and teachers have formed about the concept of books has been done with the content analysis. Analysis of the data ,transmission of the documents into the electronic system and extraction of them ,the classification of the metaphor and the reasons, improvement of conceptual categories, validity and reliability studies and quantities data analysis have formed the stages of this study. The students have had 118 metaphors and the teachers have had 42 ones. There are 42 teachers metaphors about the book concept and it has been classified in 6 conceptual categories. Students metaphors about the concept of books consists of 118 metaphors and 5 conceptional categories.
