Hemşirelik Lisans Öğrencilerin Öğretim Elemanlarının İletişim Biçimlerine İlişkin Algılarının Belirlenmesi

Abstract
Amaç: Bu çalışma, hemşirelik lisans öğrencilerinin öğretim elemanlarının iletişim biçimlerine ilişkin algılarını ve öğretim elemanlarının iletişim biçimlerinin öğrencilerin bölüm memnuniyetlerine etkisini belirlenmek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı nitelikteki bu çalışmanın evreninin bir üniversitenin Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi Hemşirelik bölümünde eğitim gören 379 lisans öğrencisi oluşturmuştur. Örneklem seçilmemiş, evren üzerinde çalışılmıştır. (katılım oranı=% 79,9). Katılımcılara Kişisel Bilgi Formu ve Öğretim Elemanlarının İletişim Biçimleri Ölçeği (ÖEİBÖ) uygulanmıştır. Kişisel bilgi formu; cinsiyet, yaş, bölüm memnuniyeti ve bölümü tercih etme nedeni hakkında sorular içermektedir. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde yüzdelik, bağımsız değişkenlerde t-testi, varyans analizi (ANOVA) kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Yapılan istatistikler sonucunda öğrencilerinin yaş ortalaması 20,42±0,9’dur ve %79,2’si kadındır. Öğrencilerinin öğretim elemanlarının iletişim biçimleri ölçeğinden aldıkları toplam puan ortalaması 80,86±0,84’dür. Öğretim elemanlarının iletişim biçimleri ölçeğinin toplam puan ortalaması ile öğrencilerin bölümden memnuniyet düzeyleri arasında anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu belirlenmiştir (p˂0,05). Sonuç: Bu sonuçlar doğrultusunda öğrencilerin, öğretim elemanlarının iletişim biçimlerinden memnun olduğu ve öğretim elemanlarının etkili bir iletişim kurduklarını düşündüklerinin yanı sıra öğrencilerin bölüm memnuniyetlerinde öğretim elemanlarının iletişim biçimlerinin etkisi olduğu düşünülmektedir.

Abstract
Objective: This study was carried out to determine the perceptions of nursing undergraduate students about the communication styles of academic staffs and the effects of communication styles of faculty members were examined on the department satisfaction. Methods: The population of this descriptive study consisted of 379 undergraduate students studying in the Nursing Department of the Faculty of Health Sciences of a university. The sample was not selected, we studied on whole universe. (participation rate = 79.9%). The Personal Information Form and the Forms of Communication of Teaching Staff Scale (ÖEİBÖ) were applied to the participants. Personal information form is about gender, age, department satisfaction and the reason for choosing the department. Percentage, independent variables t-test and variance analysis (ANOVA) were used to evaluate the data. Results: As a result of the research, the average age of the students is 20,42 ± 0,9 and 79,2% is female. The average score of the students in terms of the Forms of Communication of Teaching Staff Scale (ÖEİBÖ) is 80,86 ± 0,84. In addition, it was determined that The average score of the students in terms of the Forms of Communication of Teaching Staff Scale and the students' satisfaction levels of faculty were significant (p˂0,05). Conclusion: In line with these results, it was determined that the students were satisfied with the communication styles of the academic staffs and students think that academic staffs have an effective communication styles. In addition, it is important that the effect of communication styles of academic staffs on the department satisfaction.
