Abstract
Tekstil ve moda sektörü dünyanın en eski ve en büyük aynı zamanda gelişmelere en açık sektörlerden biridir. Sektörün üretim sanayisi ve tüketim olanaklarına baktığımızda ise en fazla atık oluşturduğunu görmekteyiz. Hızla gelişen teknoloji ile doğal kaynakların bilinçsiz kullanımı ve tüketimin buna bağlı olarak hızlanması çevresel sorunlara yol açmaktadır. Bütün bu etmenler çerçevesinde çevresel kirlilik oluşmaktadır. Geleceğe dair ciddi tehdit oluşturan bu durum karşısında ciddi endişeler kaçınılmaz olmaktadır. Gittikçe bozulan ekolojik denge, tükenen doğal kaynaklar ve yapay kaynaklara hızla yönelme ihtiyacı gibi sebeplerden dolayı moda tasarımcıları çevresel bilinç ve sosyal sorumluluk dahilinde “çevreye duyarlı tasarım”, “çevre dostu tasarım”, “yeşil moda” ve “yavaş moda” gibi doğa dostu anlayışlara yönelmektedirler. Bütün bu yönelmeler sürdürülebilir moda kavramını ortaya çıkarmıştır. Sürdürülebilirlik, son yıllarda moda literatüründe etik ve ekolojik sistem çerçevesinde önemli bir alanı kapsayan ve genişleyerek yerini sağlamlaştırmaya çalışan kavramlardan olmuştur. Burada önemli olan nokta kavramın yeni bir trend olmasının ötesinde bilinçli bir üretim ve tüketim alışkanlığımızı hayatımızın her safhasına yaygınlaştırmak olmalıdır. Geri dönüşüm, ileri dönüşüm, atıkların tamamının veya birkaç parçasının tekrar kullanıma kazandırılması üretim şekillerdendir. Bu çalışmada, Gaziantep Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi Moda ve Tekstil Tasarımı Bölümü’nde atıl duruma düşmüş giysiler temin edilmiştir. Eski giysiler üzerine deri, iplik, boncuk, zincir ve halka gibi çeşitli hazır giyimde kullanılan atık malzemelerden süsleme yöntemi ile yeni bir görünüm kazandırılmıştır. Bütün bu tasarımların yapım sürecinde en az enerji, malzeme ve maliyetini en düşük miktarda tutulmaya çalışılmıştır. Yeniden kullanılmaya hazır hale getiren örnek giysiler ile hem modada sürdürebilirlik hem de emeğe yapılan vurgu açısından önemli bir kaynak teşkil edeceği kaçınılmazdır. Tasarımcıların geleneksel ve çağdaş teknikleri bir arada harmanlayarak kullanması yeni araştırma alanlarını ortaya çıkaracak gibi görünmektedir.

Abstract
The textile and fashion sector is one of the oldest and largest industries in the world. At the same time, these sectors are open to development. When we examine at the production industry and consumption opportunities of the sector, we see that it creates the most waste. Rapidly developing technology and unconscious use of natural resources and accelerating consumption as a result lead to environmental problems. Environmental pollution is occurring in the framework of all these factors. Serious concerns are inevitable in the face of this serious threat to the future. Due to the increasingly distorted ecological balance, exhausted natural resources and the need to rapidly shift to artificial sources, fashion designers have become increasingly aware of environmental awareness such as "environmentally friendly design", "green fashion" and "slow fashion". All these directions reveal the concept of sustainable fashion. Sustainability has been one of the concepts that have been covering the important area of ethical and ecological system in fashion literature in recent years and trying to secure it by expanding it. What is important here is not only the concept is a new trend, but also we should spread our conscious production and consumption habits at every stage of our lives. Recycling, advanced conversion, recycling of all or some of the waste is a form of production. In this study, waste clothes were provided in the Department of Fashion and Textile Design of Gaziantep University Fine Arts Faculty. Old garments have been given a new look by garnishing the waste materials used in various garments such as leather, yarn, bead, chain and ring. All these designs have been tried to keep the lowest amount of energy, material and cost in the construction process. It is inevitable that example clothes that make them ready for reuse will be an important resource both in terms of sustainability in fashion and emphasis on labor. It seems that designers will uncover new research areas that blend traditional and contemporary techniques together.
