Abstract
Toplumların gelişmişlik düzeylerini belirleyen birçok unsur vardır. Bunlar eğitim, ekonomi, siyasi güç,insan kaynağı, askeri gücünün yanı sıra sahip oldukları bilgi ve teknolojidir. Bilgi günümüzde ülkelerin gelişimini sağlayan en önemli araçlardan biridir. Bilgi ve bilgiye dayalı olarak gelişen teknoloji ise toplumsal gelişim açısından önem arz etmektedir. Bilgiyle bütünleşen toplumlar bilgiyi hayatın her anında kullanarak bilgiyi hayatın bir parçası haline getirmektedirler. Bu çalışmanın amacı bilgi toplumu ve eğitim arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektir. Bu bağlamda; bilgi toplumu, bilgi, bilimsel bilgi, teknoloji ve bilgi toplumunda eğitim kavramları açıklanmıştır. Çalışmada literatür taraması yapılarak bu konuda yayınlanmış makaleler incelenmiş, ilk olarak; bilgi toplumuna geçiş aşamasında görünürdeki farklılıklara dikkat çekmek için sanayi toplumuyla bilgi toplumunun temel özellikleri karşılaştırılmış devamında ise bilgi toplumuna geçiş sürecinde eğitimin durumu ve Türkiye’deki eğitime kısaca değinilerek bilgi toplumunda eğitimin önemi vurgulanmıştır.Bilgi toplumuna geçiş sürecinde eğitim açısından Türkiye’de hala eksiklerin olduğu, ancak bu eksiklere yönelik çalışmalar yapıldığı gözlenmiştir. Ayrıca Türkiye’deki okullarda teknolojik gelişmeler etkin bir şekilde takip edilmektedir.

Abstract
There are many factors that determine the level of development of societies. These are education, economy, political power, human resources, military power, as well as the knowledge and technology. Information is one of the most important means of the development of countries today. Information and emerging technologies based on knowledge, is important in terms of the social development. Using the information society and information is integrated with information every moment of life they bring a part of life. The main objective of this study is to examine the relationship between information society and education. The Information society, information, scientific information, technology and education that is in the information society is explained. Articles, that are published at this subject, are examined by searching of literature, firstly stage of transition to information society to draw attention to the apparent differences in the basic features of industrial society compared with the information society, the following; educational status of the process of transition to information society and briefly referring to education in the information society in Turkey, emphasized the importance of education. Turkey have still deficiencies that is interested in education situations when the information society will be began, but the working is made that is interested in this deficiencies, which is watched for. In addition, developments in Turkish schools is monitored effectively.
