Abstract
Temel Tasarım Eğitimi dersi çizgi konusu üzerine öğrencilere, çizginin sanatsal öneminin algılanmasına yönelik yapılan çalışmada; öğrencilerin nitelikli çalışmalar ortaya koymalarını sağlamak amacıyla çizgi konusundaki algıları değerlendirilmiştir. Dersin işlenişi, konunun kavranması, çizgilerin yarattığı anlamlar ve karşılaşılan zorluklar konusundaki algıları ve önerileri üzerinde duran bir anket çalışması uygulanmıştır. Ordu Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi Grafik Tasarımı Bölümü öğrencileriyle yapılan çalışmada yazarlar tarafından hazırlanan anket çalışması 2017-2018 Eğitim-Öğretim yılında öğrenim gören 60 (altmış) öğrenciye uygulanmıştır. Yanıtlar, SPSS 21.0 paket programından yararlanılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Öğrencilere uygulanan anket, temel tasarım dersinde çizgi konusuna ayrılan zaman, çizgi konusuyla ilgili verilen genel bilgiler, çizgi konusuyla ilgili ders saati dışında uygulamaya yönelik ödev yeterliliği, çizgi konusuyla ilgili sorunlar, çizgilerin anlamlarındaki öğrenci algısı, çizgi konusu ile ilgili öneriler şeklindeki başlıklara göre değerlendirilmiş, elde edilen bulgular analiz edilerek sunulmuştur.

Abstract
Regarding the suptopic 'line' of the Basic Design Education course, a study was conducted evaluating the perception of this artistic theme, in order to ensure that the students would demonstrate qualified work. The survey evaluated the perception of the course, its comprehension, meanings of the line, and its challenges. The aim was to enable the students to demonstrate qualitative work on the perception of the artistic theme 'line' as a basic design element. The study conducted with the students of Ordu University's Faculty of Fine Arts Graphic Design Department, 60 (sixty) students of the academic year 2017-2018 were asked to fill out a questionnaire prepared by the authors. The responses were evaluated using the SPSS 21.0 package program. The questionnaire was evaluated under these specific titles: Time allocated to the subtopic 'line' during the Basic Design course, general information about line, adequacy of homework for application outside class hours, problems related to line, students' perception of the meaning of line, and suggestions for the subtopic.
