Abstract
Bu çalışma, üniversite öğrencilerinin toplumsal cinsiyet algılarını cinsiyete göre incelemek amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Tanımlayıcı ve kesitsel tipteki çalışmanın örneklemini bir üniversitede okuyan 282 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. “Kişisel Bilgi Formu” ve “Toplumsal Cinsiyet Algı Ölçeği” verilerin toplanmasında kullanılmıştır. Verilerin istatistiksel analizi frekans, yüzde, ortalama, Kruskal-Wallis ve Mann-Whitney U testi kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Öğrencilerin yaş ortalaması 20,34±2,41’dir ve %78’i kadındır. %89,4’ünün çekirdek aile yapısı vardır ve %46,5’inin annesi ilkokul mezunudur. Öğrencilerin toplumsal cinsiyet algı ölçeğinden aldıkları toplam puan ortalaması 102±16.82’dir. Öğrencilerin cinsiyet değişkeni ile toplumsal cinsiyet algı ölçeği toplam puanları arasında anlamlı bir farklılık saptanmıştır (p<0.05). Kadın öğrencilerin toplumsal cinsiyet eşitliği konusunda daha duyarlı ve farkındalık düzeylerinin yüksek olduğu saptanmıştır. Öğrencilerin toplumsal cinsiyet algısı ile sosyal medya kanallarını takip etme ve destek olma açısından anlamlı bir fark saptanmıştır. Çalışmamızda, öğrencilerin toplumsal cinsiyet algısı olumlu bulunmuş ve genelde eşitlikçi tutumu sergiledikleri belirlenmiştir.

Abstract
This study was conducted to examine the gender perceptions of university students according to gender. The sample of this descriptive and cross-sectional study consisted of 282 students studying at a university. A "Personal Information Form" and a "Gender Perception Scale" were used to collect data. Statistical analysis of the data was performed using frequency, percentage, mean, Kruskal-Wallis test, and Mann-Whitney U test. The average age of the students was 20.34±2.41, and 78% were female. 89.4% had a nuclear family structure, and 46.5% of their mothers were primary school graduates. The average total score obtained by the students from the gender perception scale was 102±16.82. A significant difference was found between the gender variable of the students and their total scores on the gender perception scale (p<0.05). It was determined that female students were more sensitive and had higher levels of awareness regarding gender equality. A significant difference was found between the students' gender perception and their following and supporting social media channels. Our study found that students had a positive perception of gender and generally exhibited egalitarian attitudes.
