YENİYİ ARARKEN: BİR YİRMİNCİ YÜZYIL FENOMENİ OLARAK SANATTA "KENDİNE MAL ETME" EYLEMİNİ FOTOĞRAF VE SHERRİE LEVİNE ÜZERİNDEN OKUMAK

Abstract
Çağlar boyu özellikle batılı insanın toplumsal ve teknolojik alanlarda yaratmış olduğu ivme ile varılmış olan aydınlanma çağının zaman içinde doğurduğu hayal kırıklıklarının bir sonucu olarak varlık gösteren ve günümüz dünyasının koşullarını oluşturan postmodernite kavramı, sanat alanı özelinde kendini "kendine mal etme" eylemi ile görünür kılmıştır. Artık yeni bir imge yaratmanın olanaksızlığı ekseninden hareketle bu yeni dönem ile birlikte yaratıcı deha, sanatçı miti, temsiliyet, sanat eserinin biricikliği ve aurası kavramları mercek altına alınmış ve tartışmaya açılmıştır. Postmodern olarak algılanan ve adlandırılan bu yeni dönem ardı arkası kesilmeyen bir "seçimler-seçenekler" dönemidir. Bu noktada yeniliğe duyulan özlem yerini birçok farklı geleneğin bir çeşit birleşimine bırakır. Postmodern çağ ironiyi ve kişinin kendine dönüşünü simgeler. Postmodernizm, kültürel ve politik boyutlarının yanında bünyesinde hem bir bilgi kuramını, bir metodolojiyi hem de toplumsal bir antolojiyi barındırmaktadır. "Yeniyi Ararken: Bir Yirminci Yüzyıl Fenomeni Olarak Sanatta "Kendine Mal Etme" Eylemini Fotoğraf ve Sherrie Levine Üzerinden Okumak" başlıklı bu çalışmada da bu yeni bakış açıları ünlü postmodern sanatçı Sherrie Levine'in eserleri üzerinden ele alınmış, bu suretle de dönemin düşünsel kurgusu fotografik yeniden üretim bağlamında çözümlenmeye çalışılmıştır.

Abstract
Through the ages Enlightenment Era which had been occured with the acceleration gained by the western society’s achivements both in social and technological fields had begun to fade away and created major disappointments in time. As a result of these disappointments a new era that carved the circumstances of today's world has existed and we name it postmodernism. This new concept has made itself visible in art especially by appropriation. With the idea of impossibility of producing new images, posmodernity has begun to disguss the meaning of creative genius, artist myth, representation, uniqueness of art work and aura. This new age is a period of everlasting choosing and choices. Herein, the longing for new has begun to give its place to a combination of a bunch of different traditions. Postmodern era symbolizes the irony and returning to oneself. Postmodernism, incorporates both epistemology and social anthologhy beside its cultural and political extents. In this contribution named "Looking For the New: Reading The Act of Appropriation in Art as a Twentieth Century Phenomenon over Photography and Sherrie Levine" is tried to deal with these new ideas over the works of highly acclaimed artist Sherrie Levine and thereby attempted to analyze intellectual fiction of the period.
