Abstract
Hayao Miyazaki’nin çalışmalarındaki özgünlüğün ve bu özgünlüğe bağlı başarının anlaşılabilmesi için araştırmamız kapsamında, sanatçının erken döneminde içerisinde yer aldığı projeler, döneminde popüler olan ve kimi zaman Miyazaki'nin etkilendiğini beyan ettiği projeler ve son olarak ta sanatçının hayatı incelenmiştir. Hayao Miyazaki canlandırma tarihinde önemli mihenk taşlarından olan eserlerini Stüdyo Ghiblinin kurulmasından sonra birbiri ardına sıralamıştır. Çalışmamız kapsamında Ghibli Stüdyosunun kuruluşuna kadar geçen sürede Hayao Miyazaki’nin içerisinde yer aldığı ve Ghibli sonrası projelerini etkilediğine dair kanıtlar bulduğumuz üç önemli projesi, ikonografik ve ikonolojik çözümleme yöntemi ile analiz edilmiştir. Aynı zamanda bu eserler ve sanatçının hayatı ile ilişkili yazılar da karşılaştırmalı metinsel analiz ile incelenmiş ve çalışma kapsamında yer almıştır. Betimsel yöntem ile gerçekleştirilen araştırmada, çalıştığı projelerin yanı sıra Miyazaki’nin kendi beyanı ile etkilendiğini bildirdiği yapımlar ve Miyazaki’nin bu yapımlar ile ilişkisi incelenmiştir. Kişisel hayatının özellikle erken döneminde olan olayların Ghibli sonrasındaki yapıtlarına ne şekilde etki ettiğine dair yapılan araştırma ve gözlemler de çalışmanın bir diğer parçasıdır. Bu araştırma ile Canlandırma sanatının en büyük ustalarından olan Miyazaki üzerinden, usta bir sanatçının çalışmalarını oluşturması için gereken süreç irdelenmektedir.

Abstract
In order to understand the originality of Hayao Miyazaki's works and the success due to this originality, our research examines the artist's early works and his life. Hayao Miyazaki produced his works, which are important milestones in the history of animation, one after another after the establishment of Studio Ghibli. Hayao Miyazaki's three important projects, in which we found evidence that he was involved and influenced his post-Ghibli projects, were analyzed using the iconographic and iconological analysis method. At the same time, these works and the writings related to the artist's life were also examined with comparative textual analysis and included in the scope of the study. In the research carried out with the descriptive method, besides the projects he worked on, the productions that Miyazaki reported that he was affected by his own statement and Miyazaki's relationship with these productions were examined. Another part of the study is the research and observations on how the events in the early period of his personal life affect his works after Ghibli. With this research, the process required for the formation of a master artist’s work is examined through Miyazaki, one of the greatest masters of the art of animation.
