Abstract

Abstract

Many technological developments have offered several advantages in the 21st century; however, they have also created several problems resulting from the misuse of technology. One of them is cyber bullying which involves repeated, annoying and harmful messages extended via electronic and digital technologies. Any age group can face with cyberbullying, and it is suggested that most of the studies were conducted regarding pre-university years. This study is a literature review of a relatively new topic; cyberbullying and university students. It is a qualitative study in which document analysis method was applied. The findings were presented in tables and suggestions were extended. It is suggested to create awareness for the university administrators, faculty and students, to take the necessary precautions and regulate policies, to give support to cyber victims, as well as to pay special attention to equip teacher candidates who will educate the “digital natives” regarding the issue.
