This has led to children being more valued in society, and their needs being given more importance in various fields, including healthcare structures. Healthcare facilities are fundamental structures that should be accessible to everyone under equal conditions. Economic and social differences among children should not hinder their access to healthcare services. Additionally, these structures should be designed as spaces where children can feel physically and mentally comfortable.

In pediatric outpatient clinics and wards within healthcare facilities, ergonomic designs should be implemented, taking into account the anthropometric measurements of children. Moreover, interior designs should include elements that help children relax psychologically. Architectural design elements such as color, texture, and material should be carefully selected in this context. Furthermore, lighting systems should be designed to enhance the visual and psychological environment of the space, ensuring that children feel safer and more comfortable. All these design elements should be planned by hospital standards, with attention given to the arrangement of circulation areas. Similar design principles should be observed in the interiors of pediatric outpatient clinics and wards and the hospital's entrance and waiting areas. Children should feel secure when entering the hospital and not experience stress during the waiting process.

This study examined hospitals in different cities to assess the impact of interior designs in pediatric outpatient clinics and wards on child psychology. It also conducted a literature review on child psychology and physical development, compiling current information in these areas and developing solutions for existing problems.

The Mughals frequently adorned their elephants with elaborate decorations. Among the adornments for elephants were items such as elephant caps, ‘teyya’ (elephant veils), ‘mukut’ (elephant crowns), large and ornate panels prepared for festivals to be placed on the elephant’s head, hats, lion figurines to be placed on the forehead, ‘renpiyel’ (forehead bands), forehead jewellery, ‘tikka’ (forehead medallions), ‘nettipattam’ (triangular forehead covers made of copper and gold alloys), ‘seeri’ (textile head and back covers), ‘fateh-pech’ or ‘kader-pech’ (earrings for the trunk), ‘jhumar’ (forehead jewellery), decorative handkerchiefs, ox tail tassels, and ‘bengri’ (band worn on ivory). This research paper analyses the design elements and principles of the textile products known as ‘seeri’ (textile head and back covers), specifically examining the elephant back covers. The study aims to contribute to the literature by demonstrating how these textiles were used as decorative elements during the Mughal era and how they resemble contemporary textiles.

In the early years of the Republic, sports were considered a crucial tool for both individual development and the construction of national identity. The Turkish Sports Institution Journal is significant for reflecting the policies of the period. In the study, 25 issues of the Turkish Sports Institution Journal, published between June and December 1936, were analyzed. The findings reveal that the journal's articles focused on encouraging women to participate in sports, although with recommendations to avoid sports like football, which were deemed contrary to traditional notions of femininity. Moreover, it was found that women were encouraged to engage in sports as part of Republican policies aimed at raising a "healthy generation."

Especially in recent years, the corruptions experienced in societies, the ordinary mistakes that have penetrated our understanding of truthfulness and honesty, have made this need more and more obvious. The steadfastness in the faith of the prophets in the past events, their struggle against the troubles they have made is important for everyone and especially young people, whose characters are shaped, to get guidance. For this reason, the effect of the prophets' attributes that do not compromise on truthfulness and honesty in their lives on their flexible endurance levels and copying behaviors, which are a result of the research, was examined. As a result of the survey applied to a group of 205 students from different grade levels, a participant experimental group with a homogeneous score distribution of 22 people was formed and the flexible endurance of the prophets was examined with argumentation-based discussions and the life of a prophet was investigated every week during the 7-week application process. Statistically dependent and independent groups in the mixed method were used in the research, which was supported by semi-structured interviews using the t-Test. As a result of the research, it has been seen that quantitative and qualitative data support each other, significant increases in students' flexible endurance levels have been determined, as well as decreases in their copying tendencies have been detected.

Using a literature review method, the research explores the impacts of brand activism on consumer trust, brand loyalty, and purchase intentions. Findings indicate that factors such as social media influencers, perceived consumer effectiveness, and environmental concerns play a critical role in the success of brand activism. Ethical advertising and corporate social responsibility projects reinforce consumer trust in brands, while campaigns with social and political messages deepen consumer engagement. Further research is needed to understand the long-term effects of brand activism on consumer behavior. In particular, examining the responses of different cultural and demographic groups to brand activism will provide insights for strategic planning. In conclusion, brand activism is a powerful strategic tool that positively influences consumer purchasing behavior. To ensure long-term success, brands must place greater emphasis on ethical advertising and social responsibility projects. This study provides a comprehensive literature review to understand the effects of brand activism on consumer behavior and to guide future research.

The aim of this study was to determine the reading strategies metacognitive awareness levels of middle school students and to determine its relationship with gender, grade, and number of books read. The study was conducted in two schools in Diyarbakır province center, and 312 students studying in these schools and determined by random sampling method participated in the study. The data of 10 of the students were excluded from the data set because their data were found to be unreliable. The data were collected with the Reading Strategies Metacognitive Awareness Inventory developed by Mokhtari and Reichard (2002) and adapted into Turkish by Öztürk (2012). The internal consistency values of the scale in this study were recalculated and Cronbach's alpha value was found to be .91 for the whole scale. When the reliabilities of the sub-dimensions of the scale were examined, it was found that "General Reading Strategy" had a reliability value of .89, "Problem Solving Strategy" had a reliability value of .80 and "Supporting Reading Strategies" had a reliability value of .87. In the analysis of the data, frequency and percentage distributions were prepared with SPSS 21.0 package program. As a result, the general average of middle school students' reading strategies metacognitive reading awareness levels was found to be 39.03. When the obtained data were analyzed in sub-dimensions, it was concluded that it was 49.6 in the dimension of supporting reading strategies, 29.4 in problem solving strategy and 38.1 in general reading strategy. According to the findings obtained from the students' gender and grade variables and the metacognitive reading awareness levels of reading strategies, no statistical difference was found. When the arithmetic mean of the findings is examined, it is seen that the reading strategy metacognitive awareness levels of female students are better than male students in upper grades and lower grades except for the eighth grades. In addition, it was determined that there was a proportionally significant difference between the students' metacognitive awareness of reading strategies and the number of books they read in a year in favor of those who read more books.

He has been a source of good example for Muslims. He also commanded us to be good and sweet-tongued towards each other. He said that we should avoid bad and ugly words. However, there are some words in Arabic that do not have a single meaning, but have more than one meaning, so the Prophet used some of these words in contexts known to the Arabs at different times in different situations. For example, the context of prayer and cursing; examples such as “veyhek” and “veylek”. In this study, the different meanings of the word “veyhek” and various narrations related to these meanings are analyzed. At first glance, his works evoke concepts such as death, decay and extinction in the viewer's mind, but the artist is interested in forms that crystallize and reborn on decaying bodies and strange forms, which he believes emit a vital energy. Emphasizing and focusing the energy emitted by the works rather than the meaning relations in his works, the artist states that his works create a positive feeling and are more about life than death. The artist, who has participated in many important biennials and exhibited in important museums around the world, has managed to create a unique language in both large-scale installations and portrait sculptures, both in terms of production, material selection and technique. This article will try to explain the artist's works by approaching them from different fields such as surrealism, cubism, modern sculpture, fantasy worlds and science fiction movies.

This study examines the effects of values education, conducted through storytelling in the preschool period, on children's social, emotional, and moral development. The research findings indicate that storytelling to children aged 3-6 is effective in fostering key social skills such as empathy, sharing, and responsibility. The participating teachers emphasized that storytelling, when supported by methods like drama, role-playing, and gamification, enables children to learn values more effectively. Additionally, the importance of family involvement in ensuring the sustainability of values education was highlighted. However, it was also found that excessive use of technological devices negatively impacts the process of value acquisition in children. In conclusion, storytelling emerges as a highly effective educational method that significantly contributes to children's understanding of abstract values through concrete events and characters.

This research, aims to determine the knowledge about medicinal plants of prospective science teachers and to reveal the relevant application prescriptions. Since plants are a part of complementary and alternative medicine, they have been used by people for many different purposes (food, medicine, cosmetics, perfumery, textile, beverage, religious ceremonies, paint, agricultural control, incense, body care and biofuel) since ancient times. The study group of research consists of 20 prospective teachers studying in the 4th grade of science teaching in the spring semester of the 2023-2024 academic year. In accordance with the purpose of the research, a data collection tool (questionnaire) consisting of questions regarding two usage prescriptions for twelve plants (medicinal chamomile, fennel, St. John's wort, bitter melon, nettle, poppy, mistletoe, turmeric, passionflower, salep, clove and cumin) was prepared. In the open-ended questions in these prescriptions, participants were asked to write the purposes of use of medicinal plants (which diseases they are used against in animal or human treatment), their methods of use (with which method or methods they are used in treatment) and the parts used (bark, leaf, flower, fruit, seed, root, rhizome, tuber and bulb). In order to increase the validity of the data, focus group interviews (40-45 min) and individual interviews (15-20 min) were conducted with the participants. As a result, it was determined that the most recognized medicinal plants by the prospective science teachers were clove, St. John's Wort, turmeric and salep, while the least recognized medicinal plants were fennel, passionflower, poppy and mistletoe.

Instead of being regarded as waste, products that have reached the end of their life cycle should be reused as resources, emerging as a necessity for sustainable living. This study addresses the role of waste materials in sustainable architecture. In this context, the use of waste materials in architectural design is explained through examples, highlighting their advantages and disadvantages. To this end, five projects were selected for examination within the scope of the study, and the locations of waste material usage for each building were researched to investigate their positive and negative impacts. Based on the data obtained, the structures were evaluated, and the advantages and disadvantages of using waste materials in architecture were summarized in a tabular format. As a result, while the use of waste materials in architecture provides benefits in areas such as resource conservation, waste management, cost, local economy, energy efficiency, innovative design, sustainable practices, and time savings, it may also pose challenges related to durability and longevity, aesthetic concerns, technical knowledge requirements, maintenance issues, insulation problems, compatibility issues, and legal and regulatory barriers. One of the main objectives of this study is to raise awareness among designers regarding the use, proliferation, and adoption of waste materials in design, as well as to pave the way for future research on the subject.

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), which can lead to functional impairments and a decline in quality of life, is a prevalent mental health disorder worldwide. Although traditional face-to-face therapies are effective in treating PTSD, factors such as accessibility challenges, high costs, fear of stigmatization, cultural barriers, and high dropout rates limit the effectiveness of these treatment methods. In particular, geographical barriers, time constraints, and an insufficient number of specialists make it difficult for individuals to receive professional support. Mobile health (mHealth) applications have emerged as promising alternatives in PTSD treatment due to their ease of use, accessibility, anonymity, low cost, supportive role in therapy, and flexibility in time and location. These applications enable users to monitor their symptoms in real-time, continue exercises outside therapy sessions, and participate more actively in treatment processes. Based on this premise, this article aims to introduce and examine mobile health applications developed for PTSD treatment. The applications are analyzed in terms of platforms used, therapeutic approaches, content, and features, providing a comprehensive overview of the relevant literature. The advantages and limitations of these applications are evaluated, especially considering evidence-based studies and meta-analyses regarding their effectiveness. Mobile health applications developed for PTSD are relatively new in the Turkish literature. Therefore, this study is expected to serve as a guide for developing new applications in Turkey and to encourage the use of mobile technologies in PTSD treatment. Additionally, the importance of developing culturally and linguistically appropriate local applications in our country, where traumatic events are frequent and access to psychosocial support services is challenging, is emphasized. Through multidisciplinary collaborations in this field, it is aimed to enhance the effectiveness of mobile health applications and reach broader populations.
