Determining The Transformational Leadership Characteristics of Private School Managers (The Example Of Ankara Province)

The purpose of this study is to determine whether the managers who will adapt to the developments in communication and technology with globalization and realize change have transformational leadership behaviors, which is a modern leadership model. The population of the study consists of administrators working in special education centers in Ankara in the 2023- 2024 academic year. The sample of the study consists of 431 administrators working in 10 private primary schools selected from the population through random sampling. While determining the transformational leadership characteristics and sub-dimensions, the data were summarized with basic statistical measures (arithmetic mean, standard deviation) and analyzed with t test in pairwise comparisons, analysis of variance test in multiple group comparisons and TUKEY Test to determine which group the difference originated from. The findings of the study revealed that the administrators showed transformational leadership characteristics.

Unfortunately, there are some systemic and managerial problems in fire departments, as in every institution in our country. In addition, like everyone else in business life, we are faced with difficulties that we have not yet overcome, such as middle and senior level managers not being able to adequately understand the personnel working with them, having difficulty in empathizing, and trying to prove themselves. Managers are trying to get the other party to accept their ideas without being exposed to the light of science, experience and knowledge. and this problem continues to be a heavy burden on the package of life.This is a real event that we are going to tell, but it also seems like a fairy tale. The hero of this event will be remembered as a firefighter, and we will talk about our institution as the fire department. Because our aim here is never to offend or criticize our institutions in a destructive way, on the contrary, it is to turn some negativity into a positive awareness through the event.

Unfortunately, the two major earthquakes that occurred in February 2023, affecting 13 provinces centered in Kahramanmaraş, caused great losses, destruction and unforgettable pain. Our hero, the firefighter, is a rookie firefighter who has just started working in the fire department during this earthquake, but he is also a rescue firefighter with high potential and love.As soon as the news of the earthquake came, he called his family and loved ones and understood the gravity of the situation. All his loved ones, his family, his memories, his life, everything was destroyed. He immediately made a decision and had to go there as a rescuer to help his family and loved ones.

In this study, in addition to the self-sacrificing work of heroic firefighters and fire brigades, their effects on the psychology of earthquake victims and rescuers will also be examined.

The Effect Of Musıc Studıes On Chıldren's Socıal Development

It is certain that musical studies provide significant benefits for the child to have a positive outcome of the social development process, to adapt comfortably to the environment in which he/she lives, and to express himself/herself fearlessly and courageously. The achievements of musical studies during childhood are very important for raising healthy individuals. Music studies have an important place in the child's communication and harmony with his friends, in showing his talents comfortably in school, family and friends. The purpose of music studies is to enable children to perceive this aspect of art and create positive changes in their behavior. Keeping rhythm, singing and dancing to music are known as instinctive actions for children. All of these help the child to socialize, become self-confident, and express himself/herself well. In this article, the importance of music studies in the child's life and its contribution to the child's social development and suggestions for teachers are made.

Effectiveness of Virtual Reality Exposure Therapy in the Treatment of Flight Phobia

Fear of flying, also known as aerophobia, poses a significant obstacle for individuals to explore the world. While traditional exposure therapy is effective, it poses challenges in terms of cost, logistics, and inducing anxiety. However, virtual reality (VR) exposure therapy is emerging as a promising solution that provides a safe and controlled environment for individuals to gradually confront their fears. VR therapy allows for targeted exposure and desensitization by providing personalized experiences tailored to an individual's specific triggers. By simulating realistic flight scenarios, including takeoff, turbulence, and cabin environments, VR therapy facilitates habituation and reduces the fear response over time. Moreover, VR therapy addresses not only the emotional but also the cognitive aspects of flight phobia by challenging negative beliefs and encouraging more adaptive thought patterns. Research supports the effectiveness of VR therapy in reducing anxiety and increasing confidence in flying compared to traditional methods. Moreover, ongoing advances in VR technology promise greater realism and personalization, enhancing the therapeutic experience. Integration of biofeedback mechanisms into VR therapy holds the potential for further optimization and allows real-time monitoring of physiological responses for effective adaptation of interventions. In conclusion, VR therapy represents a transformative approach to the treatment of flight phobia. With its ability to deliver safe, personalized, and engaging experiences, VR therapy has the potential to empower individuals to overcome their fears.

Evaluation of University Students' Readiness and Satisfaction Levels in Online Learning

The aim of this research is to evaluate the readiness and satisfaction levels of university students in online learning. The sample of the study consisted of students studying at the Vocational School of Health Services and volunteering to participate in the study (n=412). Data of the research; It was collected using the "Student Introductory Information Form", "Online Learning Readiness Scale", "Satisfaction Level Scale Regarding the E-Learning Process". The average age of the students participating in the research is 20.44±3.02, 80.6% are female and 56.6% are first graders. 71.8% of the students stated that they had sufficient knowledge in using the internet and computers, 68% stated that the courses given in distance education were not as effective as face-to-face education, and 55.8% stated that the distance education center provided technical support when they needed it. The students' average readiness scale score was determined as 3.56±0.59, and the satisfaction scale average score was determined as 3.48±0.85. It was determined that there was a significant difference in the students' readiness and satisfaction score averages according to their knowledge of using the internet and computers. It was determined that the average readiness and satisfaction scores of students who had sufficient knowledge in using the Internet and computers were higher. It was observed that there was a moderate positive relationship between the readiness scale and the satisfaction scale.

Gym Location Selection with MOORA Method: Example of Yalova City

Abstract: Decision making is the decision makers' choice of safe choice when under certain risks and constraints. There are many studies on multi-criteria decision making in the literature. This can be used for fitness, a type of sport that has customers of almost all ages, in a city located in the Southern Marmara Region where there is no place to support decision makers for choosing a suitable gym. For this purpose, after explaining the points to be taken into consideration when choosing a location suitable for an arrangement, the method to be used will be mentioned and the study will finally be concluded. The study will be carried out using the MOORA Method, one of the calculations used in the study. The findings will be shared with decision makers, and it will be aimed to support the right decision. While the place in the facility is shown in alternative selections, the situations obtained with the necessary opinions are expressed. A total of 7 criteria and 4 different alternatives were evaluated among themselves and the results are shared with the decision makers and the decision continues to be supported.

Paradigms Of The New Public Management Understanding: A Theoretical Study On Privatization And New Public Management (Npm)

The aim of this study is to examine privatization practices and New Public Management (NPM), which are important arguments of the New Public Management (NPM) approach, which has found a wide application area in the world since the 1980s. Considering the academic studies in the public administration literature, one of the most important starting points for the adoption of NPM and the openness of public services offered to users to competition is the idea of reducing costs. The main axis of the efforts to criticize traditional management models and implement and adopt new public reforms is the understanding and expectation of "less cost, more output". Within the scope of the study, firstly, the factors that were effective in the emergence of the NPM model, the basic features and basic principles of NPM were discussed. In the second part of the study, the concepts of privatization and NPM, which are the sources that feed the new public management model, are examined, and the starting points of these two paradigms, their characteristics and the reasons for their inclusion in practice are examined. In the third part of the study, the reflections of privatization and NPM activities on the management reforms process were evaluated. Although the main axis of the privatization efforts and the adopted NPM model in many countries around the world and in our country is economy, it has been observed that their results continue within the framework of a political and managerial cause and effect relationship

Examining the Relationships Between Adults' Family Climate and Their Fears of Happiness

The aim of this research is to examine the relationships between adults' family climate and their fear of happiness. The predictive correlation model, which is one of the quantitative studies, was included in the research. The participants of the research consist of 470 adults in Istanbul. "Family Climate Scale" and "Fear of Happiness Scale" were used to obtain the data.

In order to determine the differences between variables, t test was used because normal distribution occurs in bivariate comparisons, and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used for comparisons of more than two groups. According to the research findings, family climate t-test results; There is a difference in the family climate scores of married individuals compared to single individuals. According to the research findings, it has been determined that there are significant differences according to age, income level, education level and parental partnership status. According to the research findings, a negative relationship was found between family climate scale scores and fear of happiness scale scores. Multiple regression analysis was used to predict the effects of independent variables and dependent variables with correlation techniques. It was concluded that the sub-dimensions of the family climate scale, intra-family relations and intergenerational authority, significantly predicted the fear of happiness.

Use of Digital Methods in Restoration Studies:The Case of Diyarbakır Şeyhoğlu Mansion

Turkey is home to many architectural heritages reflecting its historical and cultural richness. Documentation of this heritage is of great importance in order to preserve it and pass it on to future generations. In recent years, the efforts of individuals and organizations sensitive to conservation have led to the documentation of buildings and their restoration in accordance with their original state. Measurement, tools and techniques used in the documentation of architectural heritage are gradually developing. Photogrammetry studies are one of the techniques that play an important role in the documentation of architectural heritage. This method allows to obtain detailed drawings and three-dimensional models of historical and cultural objects with high accuracy. In this study, the documentation and repair process of Şeyhoğlu Mansion, which is located in Diyarbakır urban conservation area, documented and protected by various institutions and organizations, and built in the 16th century, is examined with the spatial photogrammetry method.

The Fine Line Between Art And Propaganda: Francisco Goya

This study examines the fine line between art and propaganda through the works of Francisco Goya. Within the scope of the research, the relationship between the concepts of art and propaganda is discussed and the important and delicate balance between these two fields is emphasized. In this direction, Goya's life and artistic journey were examined, and especially his works from the Los Caprichos and Disasters of War series were analyzed using document analysis, one of the qualitative research methods. In the study, it is emphasized that Goya's works encourage the questioning of society from a critical point of view, rather than directly supporting a particular ideology or political message. This allowed his art to be considered not only as a propaganda tool but also as a profound and thought-provoking art form. As a result, it is concluded that Goya's works represent a rare understanding of art that successfully maintains the fine line between art and propaganda, and in this respect, they constitute an important example.

Determination of Functions of Ceramic Products in Painting

There can be many different objects in the compositions of painting. One of these is ceramic products. The aim of the research is to determine the functions of ceramic products in painting. The scope of the research, which was shaped by the Case Study model, one of the qualitative research methods, is limited to the paintings of the Renaissance Period, Mannerism Movement, Baroque Period and Rococo Style due to the perception of objective reality and the fact that it was experienced one after another, and ceramic products are limited to the examples of jugs, containers and vases. Within the framework of the relevant purpose and scope limitations, a large number of paintings were examined and as a result of the research, six different function examples were determined and presented. These functions are; situation/event determination, identity determination, stage/space design, task/status determination, representation and auxiliary element/element functions. Due to the difficulty of presenting all the paintings under the relevant function titles, an example painting was selected for each function. These are; Velazquez's "Triumph of Dionysus (Drunks)" for the situation/event determination function, Clerck's "Punishment of Midas" for the identification function, Bruegel's "Village Wedding" for the stage/space design function, Vermeer's "Woman Spilling Milk" for the task/status determination function, Chardin's "A Reference to the Arts and Their Rewards" for the representation function and Cleve's "Annunciation to the Virgin" for the auxiliary element/element function. These pictures are explained by emphasizing the function of the ceramic products in them. As a result, it is concluded that each of the six different titles of ceramic product functions has an important place in the compositions of painting art. The research is considered important due to its contribution to painting and ceramic arts.

An Investigation into the Doctorate Theses Conducted in Logic in Türkiye

In the current study, the doctorate theses carried out into logic and logic education in Türkiye were investigated in terms of different variables. In this context, National Thesis Centre (YOK (Board of Higher Education) Thesis) was scanned using the keywords “logic”, “philosophy”, “education and teaching” between the years 1991 and 2023 and 71 doctorate theses were reached. Using thesis review forms, the reviews were conducted depending on the results reached under the categories of “the year released, the universities where the theses were conducted, the institutes, the departments, methods”. By focusing on the studies carried out in the departments of philosophy and, not only within the concept of logic, but the place of the concept of logic within education were exhibited. In this way, it is believed that the status of the studies carried out in logic in Türkiye will be determined and it will give an idea for the new studies to be conducted in the future. At the end of the study, it was found that the doctorate theses carried out regarding logic outnumbered compared to those conducted in logic education. As a conclusion, it is recommended that more doctorate theses be conducted into logic education in Türkiye.

Anthropological and Anatomical Evaluation of Patella Structural Changes and Deformations in Adult Human Skeletons: Van Castle Mound Society

The largest of the sesamoid group bones in our body, the patella; is located distal to the femur and in front of the knee joint. It has an effect on the stabilization of the knee joint together with the muscles and ligaments around the knee region.

This study was conducted with the aim of determining the Antropological and Anatomical morphological classification of the patellae found in the Van Castle Mound and revealing the effects of the daily and professional activities of the people living in that period on the structural changes in the examined patellae, especially on the frequency and depth of the striation formed in the adhesion line of the tendon of the M. quadriceps femoris. In addition, structural and deformative changes that may occur in the tensile rupture line of the same muscle at different poles of the patella were also taken into consideration.

In this context, bipartite, atypical patella variations and double patella formations, which are among the fragmented patella anomalies, were evaluated. In the study, 60 adult skeletons removed from the Van Castle Mound were examined. These skeletons were determined to belong to the late Middle Ages and early Modern Ages in the dating and were removed from the mound area between 2013-2016.

As a result, 54 individuals with at least one patella bone were evaluated. When the gender distribution of the individuals is examined, 35 (%64.81) of them are male and 19 (%35.19) are female. A total of 96 patella bones, 63 of which belong to male individuals and 33 of which belong to female individuals, were evaluated and no distinction was made between right and left sides in the evaluation.

Among the fragmentary patella anomalies, vastus notch was found in 27 patellas, a structure that could be bipartite in 1 patella and atypical patella variation was found in 2 patellas. In the examination of the tendon attachment line of the quadriceps femoris in these patellae, a more distinct linear striation morphology with increased number and depth was detected. In one of the examined patellae, a distinct deformation was detected at the upper end of the tensile-rupture line.

The research delves into the impact of innovative typography in placemaking within experiential graphic design. This multidisciplinary intersection will allow graphic design to expand its scope as a discipline, offering designers and researchers a broader perspective and encouraging them to experiment with new techniques and tools.
