The purpose of this study is to examine the problems that teachers face while they are teaching the students coming from different cultural backgrounds. This study depicts 20 kindergarten teachers (17 females and three males) who were working in various parts of Turkey. Data was collected by questionnaire had five demographic questions and six explanation questions. These questions focused on teachers’ academic background about multicultural education, problems that they currently have, and recommendations to solve these kinds of issues. Results indicate that in-service teachers in Turkey defined different cultures as having different languages, religions, and nations. Thus, they claimed that they do not face any problems because they are speaking a common language with their students and belong to the same religion. On the other hand, while the majority of in-service teachers recommended a seminar organized by the Ministry of Education about multicultural education minority of them suggested universities should include a class about multicultural education. For the problems related to parents, they recommended school districts to design meetings for integrating teachers and parents.

Social Support Project in Rural Areas (SSPRA) has been put into practice by the relevant institutions in order to eliminate rural poverty and to ensure positive changes in the social structure in rural areas. For this purpose, poor families living in the rural areas of Şanlıurfa were enabled to establish cooperatives and dairy cattle were distributed to the members of these cooperatives through SSPRA. In this context, the number of cooperatives receiving support from SSPRA in Şanlıurfa is 16. In this study, the attitudes of the cooperative managers who received SSPRA support towards the SSPRA implementation and the level of meeting the expectations of the project were investigated. In the research, face-to-face interviews were conducted with 16 cooperative managers. As a result of the interviews, it was determined that the success level of the SSPRA implementation was quite low and that it could not provide positive development in terms of social, economic and organizational purposes. According to the cooperative managers, for the success of the SSPRA implementation, from the first stage of the project to the activity process and its termination, the relevant state institutions should participate in as a balancing element within the cooperatives. Therefore, every process such as the management, supervision and recording of the activities of cooperatives should be under the control of qualified personnel to be assigned by the relevant institutions. The success of projects such as SSPRA will increase if the cooperatives are under the supervision and even under the management if necessary of these personnel from the beginning of their activities until the economically risky period is over.

In modern Egyptian literature, the social change that started with the Westernization process has been the subject of the novel, and the problems arising from modernity and the social and political structure of Egypt, especially women, have been among its problematics since its first examples. Tahâ Hussein, who is mentioned among the first period novelists, evaluated the phenomena with a questioning perspective in addition to his command of religious literature, and problematized the understanding of tawakkul in his novels. In the novel Duâu'l- Kerâvân (Curlew's Prayers) published in 1934, the author discussed this phenomenon with different female characters and also included the phenomenon of stratification arising from modernity and social structure in Egypt's Westernization process. In the first half of the 20th century, the woman's right to be an individual, which is one of the main problematics of the novel, and the understanding of reliance, which is shown among the causes of the problems experienced in the social and political structure, are in the same frame in the novel, and the destructive power of learned helplessness comes to the fore. The study will point out the author's emphasis on the power of the individual to build his/her life with his/her choices through the female characters in the plot.

In Turkey, teachers with different formations are assigned to different branches. In this study, the effect of science teachers with different formations on student achievement regarding the course achievements in their own fields was examined in terms of didactic transformation theory. Four science teachers with different formations and a total of 93 students in four different classes participated in the study. Mixed research method, in which qualitative and quantitative data are used, was used in the research. For quantitative data, the scores obtained by the students from the trial exams held throughout the province were used. The first of the students' trial exams held throughout the province was evaluated as the pre-test, the other two as the post-test and follow-up test. The correct answer percentages of the students in the exams were accepted as success criteria and were analyzed with the Wilcoxon test. Qualitative data, on the other hand, were obtained from semi-structured interview forms with teachers. The findings show that the differences in the formation of the teachers do not reveal a significant difference in the success of the students in these subjects. The results were analyzed in terms of didactic transformation theory.

One of the application fields of the art of illumination, murakkas comprise rich samples of illumination, calligraphy, binding and marbling and present the sense of ornamentation of the age. Murakkas are calligraphies written in stanzas that are stuck on a cardboard and are made up of gathering them in a classical style or in a way that is defined as “körüklü” (bendy). Besides that, they were called as sülüs-nesih, tevki-rikadepending on the writing they contain. In the current study, it was aimed to determine the illumination features of the Murakka with a no of EH2208 in the library of Topkapı Palace Museum. Necessary consents were taken from The Museum of Topkapı Palace for the study. Technical, colour and composition features of the gilded places were determined, literal drawings in line with the original part were drawn. The Murakka was written in sülüs and nesih calligraphy and belongs to the calligrapher Hafız Osman. All the work was written with soot. In the parts out of Cedvel, it was found that there is a marbled paper at the interior and exterior mouldings and that all the marbling at the exterior moulding were with a zerefşan. It was determined that most of the koltuk decorations were illuminated in a ¼ and ½ symmetric plan and that the ground was painted in classical illumination, zer-ender-zer technique and needle polishing were used from time to time. The designs applied in illumination were generally placed on helixes and some arrangements in infinites and three yarn styles. In koltuk illuminations plate separations were formed in roumi closed styles. When it comes to the motives, hurde, winding, separation and base roumi, ortabağı and dolantı (circulating) cloud motives and hatayi group motives were used. Even though there was no illuminated record in murakka, all the decorations applied in all stanzas were in a good consistence. It is likely to say that the colours and techniques, motive and composition features used in decorations reflect the illumination characteristics of the 17th century it belongs to in terms of workmanship.

In this study, the relationship between the phenomenon of migration and the crime factor is discussed by making a literature review and the social effects of fear of crime are explained in the context of this relationship. In the study, theories and published scientific studies on the relationship between migration and crime and fear of crime were scanned, and the relationship between each other was revealed. When the literature was scanned, it was concluded that the relationship between the phenomenon of migration and the crime factor, regardless of crime rates, negative perceptions against immigrants in the society are at the forefront. It has been concluded from the studies that these negative judgments increase the state of fear, insecurity and anxiety in the society, and that increasing social concerns lead to fear of crime. It has been revealed how the relations of these cases with each other are reflected in the interactions of fear of crime at the social level.

Organizations that are created to realize a common goal can easily be influenced from their environments due to their nature as open systems. Organization cannot stay the same and become unpredictable due to continuous changes. In this sense, today's managers should focus more on environmental factors of the organization. The ability of organizations that are open to external influences to adapt to their environment is related to their capability for making decisions in line with changing conditions. Decision making is expected to be easier and become automatic over time if conditions remain the same. Yet as the conditions are often variable, it turns out to be more challenging to act accordingly at the decision-making phase. For this reason, decision making, one of the top responsibilities of managers, is the heart of management and an essential task of the manager. In this study, the significance of decision making was discussed with reference to the chaos theory. In addition, it was pointed out that decision making is complicated by the unpredictable nature of organizations and managers should take into consideration the variability of the organization's environment in the decision-making process and make different decisions depending on the changing conditions. In this context, it was concluded that managers should improve their decision-making skills and exhibit leadership qualities for the implementation of decisions in order to overcome the challenges of a chaotic environment.

Eating disorders are mental disorders in which various disruptions occur in eating attitudes and behaviors, which are characterized by distorted beliefs about weight and behaviors aimed at controlling weight, and which cause impairment in the psychological, social and physical functions of the person. There are multiple factors at the root of eating disorders. However, these factors are similar in terms of unsatisfied needs in childhood. In this study, it was aimed to examine the relationship between eating disorders and early maladaptive schemas. Today, although the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral therapy in the treatment of eating disorders has been proven, the data obtained as a result of conceptual evaluations and therapies are insufficient. In light of these shortcomings, interest in the benefits of schema therapy applied to eating pathology is increasing. The current findings lend support to schema-focused conceptualizations of eating pathology and confirm that eating disorders are characterized by prominent maladaptive schemas. Treatment outcomes also suggest that various techniques of schema therapy are promising interventions for complex eating disorders. This article first defines eating disorders and schemas, then discusses the results of the literature review and aims to serve as a guide for future studies.

In this study, marital anxiety and resilience levels of unmarried working women were examined in terms of demographic variables such as age, marital status, educational background, getting psychological help status and professional status. The participant group of the study consists of 258 unmarried working women. The psychological resilience levels of the individuals who participated in the study were provided by the "Short Psychological Resilience Scale", the marriage anxiety by the "Marriage Anxiety Scale", and the socio-demographic variables by the "Personal Information Form" prepared by the researcher, and statistical calculations were carried out on the SPSS 22.0 V statistical program. In the study, the relationship between the psychological resilience of unmarried working women and the total scores of marital anxiety was determined by the Pearson Correlation coefficient, and the results were approved to be significant at the P<0.001 significance level. It was determined that there was a weak negative significant relationship between the resilience of unmarried working women and their total marital anxiety scores (r=-0,252). (P<0.001) Therefore, as the psychological resilience level of the participants increases, it is expected that the level of marital anxiety decreases. In the study, no significant difference could be found between the total scores of marital anxiety and psychological resilience according to age distribution. It was concluded that there was no statistical difference between the total marital anxiety scores of the participants according to their marital status, but a significant difference was determined between the psychological resilience levels of the individuals. In the study, it was determined that the total resilience score of divorced women is higher than those of single women. No difference was found between the total scores of marital anxiety according to the psychological help-seeking status of unmarried working women, however, a statistical difference was demonstrated between the total scores of psychological resilience. It was determined that people who stated that they did not receive psychological help had a higher total score of psychological resilience than those who received support. In the study, it was determined that there was no statistically significant relationship between the total scores of marital anxiety and psychological resilience according to the education level of the participants. When the occupational status of the participants was examined, a significant difference was determined between the total marital anxiety scores, but no significant difference was found between the psychological resilience scores (P=0.931). In our study, it was determined that the total score of marriage anxiety was lower in people who stated that they were workers compared to civil servants.

A Research On Supervısıon Of Pre-School Teachers: The Case Of Van, Gevaş

As in all levels of education, pre-school education should be supervised in order to measure whether it has achieved its objectives. In order for students to reach the desired level, teachers need to have competences in some areas and the contribution of supervisors who will guide teachers in the development of these competences is very important. The responsibility of supervising kindergarten teachers was with primary education inspectors until recent years. However, with a new regulation in 2014, the Ministry of National Education took this authority away from inspectors and introduced a regulation for the supervision by school principals. The aim of this study is to determine the problems faced by preschool teachers while being supervised by school principals and their solution suggestions. The research group consists of three school principals and three kindergarten teachers working in Gevaş district centre of Van province. In the first part of the study, which was carried out using qualitative research method, there are five questions about the personal and professional development characteristics of preschool teachers. In the second part, there is an observation form with semi-structured questions prepared to observe the supervision problems of preschool teachers. The results of the study revealed that school principals are not sufficiently equipped for supervision, cannot allocate enough time for supervision due to the intensity of school work, and cannot fully fulfil the criteria of impartiality as the supervision problems of preschool teachers. School principals were observed to have insufficient knowledge about supervising preschool teachers. In order to remedy this situation, they need to learn more about school management and supervision; in-service training programmes should be organised to ensure this. Since school principals cannot allocate enough time for supervision due to their workloads, it is important to implement the system of supervision of the heads of departments. In addition, it is necessary that the heads of departments should inspect and take the necessary measures before the inspectors. Regarding the impartiality of school principals, the Ministry should develop ethical values and ensure that school principals act impartially and fairly. Finally, if necessary, sanctions should be imposed to prevent them from evaluating teachers based on their political views and unions.

In the study, Turkey-Soviet relations between the years 1930-1939 were discussed, and subjects such as İnönü and Saraçoğlu's visits to Moscow, the Montreux Treaty and the Straits Issue were focused on the axis of the Turkish press. In this respect, İnönü's visit to Moscow took place as a result of the friendly continuation of Turkish-Soviet relations and was met with great interest. The purpose of the visit was stated as the construction of economic development according to the needs of the villagers, as Turkey continues to develop within its own reform principles and the country consists mostly of peasants. Saraçoğlu's visit to Moscow increased the tension in Turkish-Soviet relations. During the visit, in a paper submitted by the Soviet representative Molotov, Turkey's actions regarding the Straits issue and the wishes of the Soviet Union were expressed. However, Saraçoğlu was hesitant to take this paper and did not take a step back. The Montreux Treaty and the Straits Issue also played an important role in Turkish-Soviet relations. Turkey wanted to keep the control of the straits and had disagreements with the Soviet Union on this issue. Eventually, however, the status of the straits was determined by the Montreux Convention and remained under the control of Turkey. While the study deals with the tensions and disagreements in Turkey's relations with the Soviet Union, it also emphasizes the friendly relations between the two countries.

The aim of this article is to determine the creative teaching perception levels of high school teachers, to examine the results in terms of some variables, and to reveal the creative teaching practices of teachers in the classroom according to student opinions. The research, in which mixed method simultaneous variation design was used, was conducted with 942 teachers working in 12 regions determined according to statistical region classification and 185 students studying in 22 high schools in 6 provinces. In the study, Creative Teaching Scale (YÖL), teacher opinion form and student focus group interview form were used as data collection tools. In the analysis of quantitative data, Mann Whitney-U test was used for two unrelated samples, Kruskal Wallis test was used for unrelated k-sample, and content analysis was used for qualitative data. According to the results of the research, teachers' perception of creative teaching about themselves is high. It was observed that the creative teaching perception levels of the teachers did not change according to gender, but differed in terms of branch, type of school, being a project school, working region, using the EBA Portal, and developing e-content. While teachers find themselves in creative teaching practices, it is remarkable that students do not think their teachers are competent in this direction. In addition to increasing the quality of teachers in evaluations and studies on creative teaching, suggestions were made that related studies could be continued with different methods.

In this study, it is aimed to reveal the rhythmic characteristics of the local music by analyzing the rhythmic structures of Kastamonu folk songs in the form of 83 KirikHava in the TRT repertoire.
In the study, which was made by using qualitative research methods, Kirik Hava melodies belonging to Kastamonuregion in the TRT repertoire were selected as the sample group and were examined in detail. In the reviews carried out, it is seen that the tempo structures of Kastamonu folk songs are "1- Folk songs with a single main method". “2- Folk songs with a single combined style”. 3- It has been understood that folk songs can be classified as folk songs that use more than one tempo structure interchangeably.
Of the folk songs in this group, “songs with a single main style” account for 43% of Kastamonu folk songs, “songs with a single combined style” account for 36% of Kastamonu folk songs, “songs that use more than one method alternately in their song” and constitutes the 21% of Kastamonu folk songs.
In folk songs that start and end with a single tempo, 2, 3, 4 stroke main tempos and 5, 6, 9 stroke tempos are used; No examples were found in which triple forms of the main methods were used. Again, it has been determined that there are no folk songs with 7 or 8 rhythms in "Kastamonufolk songs with a single combined style".
<p dir="auto" style="text-align: justify;">Among the Kastamonu folk songs, there is not an example of a mixed style folk song that starts and ends with a single style. Another absolute method is used in folk songs in which the mixed method is used. For this reason, the examples of folk songs using mixed methods are in the group of "rhythmic folk songs that use more than one tempo structure alternately in a song". It has been determined that there are different structures in this group, and it has been understood that these structures can be grouped under the following headings: 1- Folk songs in which more than one main method is used interchangeably, 2- Folk songs in which the main and compound methods are used interchangeably, 3- Main, compound and mixed styles are used interchangeably. Folk songs in which the method is used interchangeably, 4- Folk songs in which more than one combined method is used interchangeably, 5- Folk songs in which the combined and mixed methods are used interchangeably, 6- Folk songs in which more than one mixed method is used interchangeably. All these results show that the folk songs of the Kastamonu region are an exemplary region in terms of the variety of tempo structures in Turkish Folk Music.

Our country quaked by the 7.7 earthquake that occurred in Pazarcık at 04:17 on February 6, 2023, and then the 7.6 earthquake that occurred in Elbistan at 13.24 on the same day. These earthquakes, which are one of the biggest disasters in the history of the Republic, affected 11 provinces, causing 50 thousand 399 deaths and great destruction in the provinces affected by the earthquake as of April 5, 2023, according to official figures. After the earthquakes, especially communication and telecommunication, search and rescue, aid and organization problems were seen. Many of the problems experienced in the 1999 Marmara Earthquake, such as communication, delay in assistance, lack of preparedness, and lack of organization, were also experienced in Kahramanmaraş Earthquakes.
The role of the media in social events and extraordinary situations is a well-known fact. Social media, whose place in our social life has increased with the 2010s, plays an active role in social events. Social media is an important tool in disaster situations such as earthquakes. In particular, it has vital functions such as asking for help, making a sound, announcing the needs in the region, and reporting what is happening in the region.
In this study, similarities between what happened in 1999 Marmara Earthquake and what happened in Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes were determined. Subsequently, after the Pazarcık and Elbistan-centered earthquakes, the events were examined and determinations were made regarding the use of social media in these earthquakes.

The aim of this research is to examine the effect of public employees' motivation perceptions on their burnout perceptions. The research is in the form of descriptive scanning. The universe of the research is the city center of Ankara. The sample consists of teachers in the city center of Ankara. In the study, a questionnaire was applied to 114 people.
When the findings obtained as a result of the research were evaluated in general, it was determined that the burnout perceptions of the teachers did not differ depending on their demographic characteristics. This shows that teachers with different demographic characteristics have similar attitudes and expectations towards their jobs. The responsibilities that teachers undertake within the framework of public service can be seen as an important factor in reducing their burnout perceptions. It is seen that there is no statistically significant difference between the Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale and Burnout Scale scores depending on the demographic characteristics of the teachers.

Comparison of Airline Transport with Alternative Ways of Transport in the Transport Industry

The transport sector plays an important role in the transport of people and materials, and airline transport is an important part of this sector. However, considering some of the advantages and disadvantages of airline transport, the comparison of these options has been an important issue. Airline transport has the advantage of shortening long distances quickly and effectively. Passengers and cargo can be transported quickly between continents or long distances by air. This is an important advantage in situations such as business travel, tourism and medical emergencies. However, air transport is costly. Alternative modes of transport include road transport, railway transport, maritime transport and pipeline transport. Road transport has advantages such as flexibility and door-to-door service. Railway transport is a lower cost and effective option for transporting large quantities of materials. Maritime transport is advantageous in the transport of large volumes of cargo. Pipeline transport is the most reliable and economical type of transportation for liquid and gas transportation. Comparisons made in the article show that air transport is advantageous in terms of speed and efficiency. However, when cost, environmental effects and other factors are taken into account, it is seen that alternative transportation routes also have significant advantages. It is therefore important to strike a balance in the transport sector and to optimize the different options. In conclusion, in this article, which examines the comparisons between air transport and alternative modes of transport, the advantages and disadvantages of each option are highlighted. These options need to be carefully evaluated in order to provide environmental sustainability, cost-effectiveness and effective services in the transport sector.
