The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of valued living on depression and anxiety. Valued living refers to a life in which a person’s behaviors are consistent with his/her values. Participants consisted of 338 university students (204 women, 134 men), undergraduate and graduate, who are currently in their academic life. The sample of the study averaged 22.12 years of age. They were asked to complete an online questionnaire examining the degree of their valued living, and depressive and anxious symptoms. Results of the study show that value domains that participants attach the most importance (differ from the ones that participants’ value-based behaviors are more consistent. The result of the correlational analysis shows that valued living is associated with both depression and anxiety in a statistically significant negative direction. Both value importance and value consistency have a negative significant impact on depression. However, only value consistency is found to have a significant association in the negative direction with anxiety. Moreover, Multiple Linear Regression analysis reveals that value consistency contributes to the prediction of depression and anxiety.

Social work ethical standards contain principles against suppression, discrimination and prejudice. Attitudes and perceptions of social work undergraduate students who will work with LGBTİ+İ+ individuals, one of the disadvantaged groups struggled against suppression, discrimination and prejudice is highly important. Considering the mostly negative attitudes against LGBTİ+ individuals and lack of their human rights in Turkey; it’s thought that attitudes of social work undergraduates against LGBTİ+ individuals and same-sex adoption can provide significant outputs for future change in LGBTİ+ rights in Turkey since they will work with LGBTİ+ individuals and will advocate to their rights. Therefore, this study aim to determine the attitudes of social work undergraduates towards LGBTİ+ individuals and same-sex adoption and also to discover relevance between attitudes towards LGBTİ+ individuals and same-sex adoption. In this study, the attitudes towards lesbians and gay men are fairly positive but the attitudes towards same-sex adoption are negative for 239 social work undergraduates. “Religious Concerns” and “LGBTİ+ not seen Suitable for Family Structure of the Society” are determined as reasons for these negative attitudes towards same-sex adoption. Also, it’s found out that participants define homosexuality as deviance and illness have the most negative attitudes towards same-sex adoption. These findings implicate that more heteronormative social work education should be developed. Also in order to influence negative attitudes towards LGBTİ+ individuals and same-sex adoption, awareness and social inclusion should be core to social work curriculum.

While the Ottoman Empire was transforming from principality to state and from state to empire, it had a strong state organization by making continuous progress. However, due to some internal and external problems that emerged at the end of the 18th century, the Empire began to lose its power. During this weakening period, the enthroned monarchs made some reforms to correct this situation, but these reforms were not successful because they were limited to their own periods. Unlike the previous rulers, Sultan Selim III, who ascended the throne in 1789, saw the main source of the problem in the janissary corps and took steps in this regard. First, he tried to discipline the janissary corps again, but when he was unsuccessful, he established a new army (Nizam'ı Cedid) and started to train this army according to European standards. However, this new army, founded by Selim III, was not welcomed by the Ulema and the public, as it resembled European soldiers in terms of clothing. Ignoring the discontent of the people, on the revolt of the Janissaries against the reforms Selim III had to disband this new army, which he had built. In this article, the effect of the reforms made by Selim III on the people of Istanbul and the people's perspective on the reforms were tried to be examined

Previous studies show that the physical layout of classrooms affects learning. Classrooms can create an environment that enables creative teaching and positive student-teacher interactions. The design of a classroom can impact a teacher's instructional methods, while the teacher's behavior and motivational tactics play a crucial role in overall education. This descriptive correlational study examines the relationship between a teacher's current classroom setup, their desired design, and the learning styles they use, including cooperative and generative learning. The study found a significant connection between these learning styles and both the teacher-centered and student-center classrooms and the expandable and L-shape designs. These findings provide evidence for creating classrooms that support different learning styles through architecture and design and can aid designers, school administrators, and educators.

The aim of this research is to decide the problems encountered in transported-bussed education and the solution suggestions they have brought to these problems according to the opinions of the school principals working in the secondary schools, which are transportation center in the Erbaa district of Tokat province in the 2020-2021 educational year. The data were collected through the questionnaire form developed by the researchers, and the obtained data were subjected to descriptive analysis. At the end of the information obtained from this research, it was decided that the principals working in schools providing transported-bussed education experienced many problems due to insufficient physical equipment and cleaning of the shuttle vehicles, not obeying with the time rules and taking passengers from outside. With the help of these results, it is suggested that the controls of the shuttles serving the schools providing transportation education and the on-duty drivers should be done by the law enforcement officers, not the school principals having responsibility of the transportation centers.

Man's effort to understand the essence of the object in nature is directed towards thinking, feeling, understanding and explaining, finding meaning and providing intelligibility. While questioning his existence, man tries to find the secrets of aesthetic values created by the depth of his activities. Activities that make his life meaningful in historical processes; It shows phenomena that accumulate knowledge, develop, and transfer what they know to the future with the pursuit of beauty, writing, reading and interpretation. The power that man's special place in nature, his duty and responsibility add to his life with his ability to create aesthetic value, the sublimity of the mind, and the feelings required by being human. Man, who is an inseparable part of nature, realized his freedom with the idea of dominating nature; With the desire to be a superior being, it has created permanent values in science, art and other fields.
The fact that man is a thinking being enables him to transform his dreams into objects, to give meaning, to create new structures, and to shape nature. Man, who is capable of judging the perceived images of objects, has evaluated his needs in terms of knowledge, consciousness and reason. Man's creative ability has directed his actions to continue, his behaviors and efforts to quality creativity. The human being, who has the ability to perceive the object, the thing and the events as a whole, tries to grasp the truth with his achievements.

Although the definition of autonomy in universities is stated in Article 130 and Article 27 of our constitution, it may seem extremely difficult to say that there is complete autonomy in our country. In this study, I have outlined the general outlines of an autonomous university rather than absolute freedom. It is a known fact that no university in the world is fully autonomous. This is because all universities in the world receive financial support from the state in one way or another and universities have organic ties with political powers. It should be noted that autonomy and independence are different concepts. This study did not focus on how our universities can become independent. It was about academic freedoms, academic and administrative staff appointments, quality education, administrative freedom and how to keep our institutions free from political nobility. It was also questioned why there is a need for autonomy in our universities. The drawbacks of the neo-liberal education model were addressed in the process of the subject. The hypotheses of many local and foreign researchers were included in the study. The general situation in other universities in the world and the order in higher education institutions in our country were analyzed comparatively. The main hypothesis is to reveal the direct proportion between our universities becoming more democratic and free and raising quality people.

The research, which was conducted to examine the organizational deviation behaviors perceived by the teachers and whether the demographic characteristics cause differentiation in the organizational deviation behaviors, was carried out with the scanning model. The research was carried out with 292 teachers working in schools affiliated to MEB in Ordu Ünye. By using the "Organizational Deviant Behaviors Scale", which was developed by Bennett and Robinson (2000) and adapted into Turkish by Gültaç (2019), the necessary analyzes were made with non-parametric tests, since the data collected by online method did not show normal distribution. According to the research findings, it was found that teachers' perceptions of organizational deviation or deviance in the scale and in its sub-dimensions were positive at a "low" level; It was concluded that there was a statistically significant difference according to the gender variable, but there was no statistically significant difference according to the variables of marital status, education level, age, professional seniority and education level, and various suggestions were made in this direction.

The proportion of the elderly population is increasing all over the world, and with the aging of the population, social problems that negatively affect both society in general and directly elderly individuals become more visible. Exposure to social problems may vary depending on the fact that elderly individuals have different life experiences. Differences in the life experiences of elderly individuals are significantly affected by factors such as gender, age, marital status, education, income, as well as the place they live in. As a matter of fact, space has a determining feature in the lives of elderly individuals both in terms of its unique features and in line with the relations established with the space. In this respect, it is not possible to consider social problems independently of the place. From this point of view, the aim of the study is to evaluate and examine the social problems related to old age in a spatial context. The fact that there is a limited number of studies in the literature dealing with the relationship between aging and space and that there is no study in which social problems in old age are discussed comparatively on the basis of rural and urban areas with a spatial perspective constitutes the original aspect of this article. Thus, it is thought that this study will contribute to the literature with the evaluations made about considering the spatial dimension in the analysis of social problems in old age. In addition, it is expected to raise awareness about the development of social policies specific to elderly individuals in both rural and urban areas.

It is known that it contributes to urban development as well as offering a different perspective to people. The blurring of the boundaries of new media art, the transformation of the surfaces where architecture and the perception of the city are redefined into an art experience, makes public spaces a productive and dynamic living space for people. The inclusion of art in daily life and living spaces offers a new perspective to public spaces. This article on the implementation of new media art installations in the public sphere focuses on the potential for integrating human participation and activities in public spaces. In the article, it has been mentioned that public spaces should be more active or redesigned so that the society can express itself.

In this study, the effect of mind map creation processes on students' self-awareness was investigated within the framework of design education of visual communication design students. Mind maps are a research technique developed by mathematician, psychologist and brain researcher Tony Buzan. It is considered as a mental and visual process that helps to quickly determine the scope of a subject for which a solution is sought. Mind maps are characterized by branches in which the concept for which a solution is sought is located in the center and radians out of this concept (outward from the center). Mind maps appear as visual presentations in which the designer hierarchically reveals the concepts that come to his mind during the thinking process and also supports these concepts with images such as illustrations and pictograms. In this study, visual communication design students were asked to develop their personal mind maps to represent their self-characteristics, and they were instructed to apply the concepts on the map in line with a concept that reflects the students' character. In the designs, the original application of the network structure branching outward from the center, which is the most distinctive characteristic of mind maps, with the chosen concept was determined as a criterion. The studies presented are discussed in the context of originality and self-reflection. This study was carried out in the fall semester of 2022-2023 with Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Faculty of Architecture and Fine Arts Visual Communication Design Department second year students within the scope of Presentation Design course. The studies were completed within three weeks. In the first lesson, students were informed about mind maps, and the design process was shown practically throughout the lesson. At the end of the first week, each student completed a sketch of their personal map. By making one-on-one brainstorming with the students on the sketches produced, the concept that would emphasize the student's self-characteristics was decided and it was requested to apply this concept throughout the map. Final critiques were given on the maps completed in the third week. Observation method was used during the study period. The aim of this research is to create self-awareness through the processes of designing mind maps of students. In the context of design technique, students are freed. When the mind maps are examined, it is seen that the students benefited from the collage technique in most of the designs. In particular, materials such as rope and lace were used to describe the network structure, and it was observed that tactile and sensory contexts were added to the maps. When the findings were examined, it was revealed that the students were able to reach original inferences reflecting their own selves through their personal mind map designs.

<p style="font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;">A range of classroom-based holistic therapies, support approaches, and communication support programs have been developed in the treatment of autistic disorders. These programs target the individual's basic development processes such as learning, remediation of behavioral disorders, and improvement of communication and social skills. Among such support programs, behavior therapy approaches such as Treatment and Education of Autistic and Related Communication Handicapped Children (TEACCH) and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and communication support programs such as Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) are widely used. The main purpose of this study is to provide an overview of TEACCH, ABA, and PECS approaches, their theoretical foundations, the underpinning principles, strategies for implementing the programs, and the evaluation of basic patterns. The document analysis method, one of the qualitative research methods, is used in this review research. Behavior therapy approaches such as TEACCH and ABA and communication support programs such as PECS offer support to help recognize, understand and interpret social competence connections. At the same time, providing appropriate support enables people with autism and their families to participate in society by improving their quality of life. Many of these support programs include structured and clearly defined teaching methods that can be individualized according to each child's learning needs and progress. These support programs involve data-based decision-making. For people with pervasive developmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), teaching, practicing, and reinforcing elements of social competence through such support programs, is thought to have a significant positive impact on coping with autistic symptoms.

Throughout the history of jewelry making, many techniques have been developed, some of which have retained their popularity while others have been forgotten. One of the techniques that lost popularity over time is the enameling technique. Enamel is a material that shows all the features of glass but is more flexible and easier to work with than glass. Because the enameling technique has been used frequently since ancient times, there are many sub-techniques in this field. One of these techniques is the Basse-taille technique. This technique involves engraving metal surfaces and applying transparent enamel and can be done using either wet or dry enamelling. This study aims to introduce the Basse-taille technique to practitioners and interested parties and to describe the product development process with a detailed description of the application steps. In the product development process, a necklace pendant was selected from among the types of jewelry, and the technical steps were applied in detail.

Transformation From Form To Deformation In The Works Of Francis Bacon

One of the most important artists of the 20th century is Francis Bacon. The formation of the works of the artist is important in terms of revealing the path and artistic phenomena. It is hoped that the findings will be a guide for new researches that can be done on this subject and for students who receive art education. The subject and purpose of the study is the visual analysis of the transformations of Francis Bacon's works from form to deformation, and to reveal which artists the artist used while creating his works, which methods he followed and what kind of style he created by passing all these through his own mind. The method of this study is theory-oriented field research. The literature on the subject has been scanned, and Bacon's studies describing the transformation from form to deformation have been examined and interpreted. It is seen that the works described by the artist have undergone a change from form to deformation. It can be said that this change has developed a new style as the artist assimilates the world he lives in. This change is directly proportional to the classical art form. It is understood that Bacon made use of optical views and expressive style while creating his own works. It is observed that the artist generally uses these effects in parts such as portraits and figures. It draws attention that the path the artist follows while describing his paintings is a transformation from form to deformation. This transformation stands out not as a known deformation, but as works that the artist has acquired through his own personal experiences, assimilated and evolved into a completely different dimension. Bacon has created his own works based on the works of different artists in his paintings. The artist took Biomorphic structure from Picasso, bodily form in suffering from Matthias Grünewald, changes in the body showing pain, death and horror from Francis Goya, dramatic effects from Rembrandt and Soutine showing dismembered skins, faces and limbs. The concept of time has an important place in Bacon's works and he created this concept by taking advantage of the tragedy in the book "Being and Time" by the artist Martin Heiddegger. In addition, color is an important element in the works of the artist. Based on the pastel tones used by Edgar Degas, it can be said that Bacon applied these color tones in his own works. It has been concluded that the artist has benefited from the works of different artists, both technically and formally, as well as from the information obtained in sociological, psychological and philosophical ways, and the artist creates an artistic language by passing all these points through his own mental filter.

In the 19th century, capitalism, which was one of the results of the changes in the economy after the two great revolutions, and the socialist view that criticized it, formed the ideological perception of the period. The discourse of workers' sovereignty, embodied in Marx's statements, was on the agenda of the people affected by the feudal structure in the East as well as in the West. The works produced during this period, when the art of the novel was just beginning to mature in terms of both form and content in Egypt, not only contributed to the formation of national literature, but also undertook the task of understanding and interpreting social phenomena from the perspective of the period. Among these works, Tawfīq al-Hāqīm's novel Usfur min Sharq (<em>A Sparrow from the East</em>, 1938), with its content criticizing both the East and the West, depicts the period it tackles in the social sphere. This study aims to point out the dominant point of view by evaluating the novel within the framework of the topics in its content. The facts will be analyzed with their ideological substructures and their repercussions on the social ground will be evaluated.

Avant-Garde in Weimar Republic

Avant-garde is the general name of practices within an art discipline that tend to transcend the given tradition both in form and discourse. Especially during the early twentieth century, art disciplines underwent sharp changes with avant-garde breakthroughs. The Weimar Republic is one of the historical sections where the early twentieth century avant-garde developed and came to the fore. In the Weimar Republic, which was established after Germany's defeat in the First World War, the contradictions brought about by industrial capitalism, Soviet influence and the devastation brought about by defeat resulted in the emergence of a unique avant-garde. The Weimar avant-garde not only stood out with its formal innovations, but also succeeded in combining formal innovations with the goal of social transformation in parallel with the conditions in Germany at the time. Another important characteristic of the Weimar avant-garde is that they tended to publicise the avant-garde from being an exclusively individual breakthrough and the work of art from being an individual creation. The Wiemar avant-garde, which was the result of the unique conditions of the Weimar Republic, was liquidated afther the Nazis came to power.

The setting is the set of rules used in all therapy methods, which the client and the therapist must follow. The setting not only draws the width of the relationship between the client and the therapist in the therapeutic process, but also acts as a legal protector. The psychoanalytic setting has a different structure. These are the inclusive function that refers to the primary stage, the limiting functions that refer to the father and the law, and the symbolization function that enables the phantasies to find meaning by verbalizing the repressed content.
The institutional setting of psychoanalysis is shaped around the formation determined in its establishment and the rules that the psychoanalyst must go through his own analysis. Formation training is given by institutions affiliated with the International Psychoanalytical Association, which was established under the leadership of Freud. These institutions, which are the providers of the rules of the institutional setting of the psychoanalytic tradition, preserve the psychoanalytic setting and ensure the continuation of the psychoanalytic tradition.
In this study, the concept of setting is discussed through psychoanalytic theory. Both the setting consisting of the rules of objects in the organs of psychoanalysis and the setting and elements consisting of the rules in psychoanalysis processes are examined. Finally, the differences of opinion on this issue are mentioned. Literature review was used as a method in the study. The study is limited to the setting of psychoanalysis and the institutional setting of psychoanalysis. The aim of the study is to contribute to those who are interested in psychoanalysis.

The Reflections Of The Still Life In Painting In Photography

<p style="font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;">Still life is one of the words that entered the painting literature from French. A work of art whose subject is inanimate objects or beings is called a still life. It emerges as a concept used for the art of painting, which we can translate into Turkish as "dead nature" or "dead nature" by combining the words "natura" used for "nature" in French and "morta" used for "dead". The term still life was first used by Dutch painters in the 17th century and is a genre that emerged by putting objects in the center. Dutch Golden Age artists took detailed flower paintings a step further. Memento Mori is the Vanitas art movement, which is the reflection of the movement, which means "remember that you have to die"; By placing clues about the temporary nature of life in paintings, he added a more mysterious and gothic atmosphere to the still lifes of the period. These clues are often compositions of objects depicting the end of time, such as cut flowers, skulls, candles, candle holders, and overturned hourglasses. Vanitas paintings, unlike memento moris, also exhibited pleasurable earthly pleasures in the composition. Some of these are objects such as musical instruments, wine and books. This genre, which started to be seen in the art of painting, has also been used frequently in the art of photography with the invention of photography. The main subject of the study is how still life photography occupies a formal place in the art of photography and in which areas still life is used today. This article is a research paper. According to the findings obtained at the end of the study, the still life style in photography is similar in content to still life painting. Today, advertising photographs are a reflection of the still life painting genre that emerged in the Netherlands in the 17th century.

Parsing The Present Tense Between The Original And The Secondary Verb

One of the most important features of the Arabic language is that it is parsed (Mu’araba). By parsing, the intent is clear from the word that has more than one meaning, so the grammar is almost a parsing. The present tense was distinguished from its two parts because it is prased (Mu’arab), according to the agreement of the grammarians, but they differed in looking at the reason that made it prased (Mu’arab). The importance of this research lies in the fact that saying that the inflection of the present tense is sub-par and applying it to the noun narrows the concept of inflection and makes it one of the characteristics of the noun, and with its originality it expands its concept to include the noun and the verb.
In it, I shed light on the opinions of grammarians and their inferences in this matter. Following the historical descriptive approach in laying out the evidence for each doctrine from its original sources, discussing it and mentioning the most important objections that were directed to each one of them, and stating the most correct of them, as well as exposed to the concept of origin and branch in Arabic grammar due to its strong attachment to the subject.

This research is carried out to determine the teachers' opinion about the Teaching Career Steps Application that was put into practice with Teaching Profession Law. Also, it is aimed to find out their thoughts on whether this application is necessary or not. The study group of this research consists of teachers who work in schools affiliated to the Ministiry of National Education in Erbaa, Tokat province during the 2021-2022 academic year. The population includes 1290 teachers in Erbaa, Tokat province, and in sample group there are 34 randomly selected teachers. In this study scanning method is used. Interview technique which has open-ended questions is used as a data collection method. It is concluded that most of the teachers have a positive attitude towards the re-implement of Teaching Profession Law. According to the results, teachers think that this law is going to contribute to their performance and professional developments. However, it is found that in some teachers' opinions, this application can cause both grouping among teachers and disrupting the labour peace in schools. Another finding is that the criteria such as conducting a central examination, not considering the seniority in career steps, using the "head teacher" title and ten-year period to promote in career steps are not adopted by the teachers.
