In recent years, Islamophobia has risen in Europe in proportion to the increase in the immigrant population. The emphasis on Islamophobia is often done in political advertising of the far-right political parties within the European Union. On the other hand, in the general elections held throughout the European Union, it is also observed that there has been a serious increase in the votes of the political parties, which are the subject of Islamophobia in political advertising. At this stage, it is curious to see what role political parties play in the electoral success of Islamophobia. Within the scope of the study, it has been tried to explain how and in what way the ultra-right-wing political parties in the European Union reflect Islamophobia in their political advertising. For this purpose, according to the 2018 data of the BBC, the countries with the highest rise in Islamophobia, the Alternative Party for Germany from Germany and the Austrian Freedom Party from Austria are the examples of the study. Within the scope of the study, all political ads of two countries related to Islamophobia were examined using semiotic analysis method. All political advertising images were analyzed in the light of the semiotic understanding of French Linguist Roland Barthes. At the same time, it was tried to explain the propaganda myths that the parties tried to build on the political advertising visuals based on Islamophobia.

Contemporary design is constantly changing due to the renewal of materials and pieces in contemporary art in every period. Paper is one of the contemporary design elements affected by this change. The ease and expressive power of the artist's effective use of paper as a means of expression bring the paper to a different place within contemporary art. Nowadays, paper art presents the value and artistic power of handmade paper and illustrates that a work can come into prominence not only with its color and form but also with its material. Paper art, which has spread to many countries, is now experiencing its golden age and constitutes an independent branch of visual arts itself. In this context, many contemporary artists have created various works that have been never seen before by using paper materials. In history, the paper has played a major role in the dissemination and development of sciences and cultures. Due to its ease in writing, carrying and preserving, it has spread the science and knowledge all over the world within a very short time. Today, the paper is used in art, education and training, press, publishing activities, money printing, packaging, kitchen and many other places besides science. Since the beginning of the 20th century, it has turned into a work of art whose artistic value is increasing. New dimensions have been brought to paper art from the handmade paper, which has been shaped by the artists into art pieces to the objects. When it is looked at contemporary art, it is seen that all the limitations such as certain rules of art, the relationship between the object and space, and the sine qua non of the art have been removed. The artists who act with this freedom find their own ways in the field of contemporary art and put their signature on various works. Hadieh Shafie, Feyza Oyat, İnci Kansu, and Yağmur Çalış were among these artists who have been influenced by the limitless creativity of the paper. Thus, this development and change in the field of art have come to life in different techniques and forms in paper art. From this aspect, paper art is significant in terms of illustrating what the flexible and adaptive structure of art can reveal.

Since landscape architecture is a multidimensional profession that incorporates the concepts of various disciplines, it is necessary to integrate different systems and components in landscape architecture education. Thus, students are expected to use creative techniques that are adequate for the goals through the integration of the design processes. In the Department of Landscape Architecture at Karadeniz Technical University (KTU), the theoretical and practical design courses that emphasize the master-apprentice relations are very important for the students to acquire design and creativity skills. Thus, students take several design courses (Basic Design Concepts, Architectural Design, Environmental Design Project, Furniture Design, etc.) beginning from the freshman year until the senior year. In these courses, initially, design elements and principles are instructed. Design education is also considered as a personality education in the process of becoming a master, and instead of imposing generally applicable methods, students are provided with the opportunity to explore their own methods in these courses. The final designed product is the result of creative problem solving and visual thinking processes. A survey was conducted with senior KTU Landscape Architecture students (n = 63) to determine their knowledge on creative thinking techniques in visual arts and the techniques they utilize in their products.

Turkish economy shifted from import substitution policies to export-based growth policies on January 24, 1980. Although 40 years have passed, in Turkish economy the desired success in exports has not been achieved, also it has become a country that is constantly giving a foreign trade deficit. Considering the twin deficit hypothesis, until the 2000s, the budget deficit was the reason for this deficit but in the 2000s, private sector savings deficit was. In addition, insufficient public support, low R&D expenditures, technology-deprived and low value-added products have been the main problems that hinder the development of exports. On the other hand, the fact that an average of 85% of imports consisted of intermediate goods and investment goods has led to a strong correlation between growth and the import and foreign trade deficit. It is unlikely in the long run that Turkey will improve its exports and reduce its foreign trade deficits without significant structural steps. At the forefront of these structural adjustment policies are measures such as increasing savings and export/GDP ratios, increasing R&D expenditures, increasing the share of technology in exports and reducing the imported goods input ratio.

One of the conditions of being able to call a settlement a city during the Ottoman period was the trade houses. Commercial structures such as marketplaces, inns, bazaars and covered market contribute to the development of the city by bringing economic vitality. Çankırı was not a popular stopping point since it was not on the main road routes during the Ottoman period. Despite this negativity, it had commercial structures that could meet the needs of the city and the surrounding people in particular. We are aware of the existence of the city's own and neighboring trade houses, both from the 16th century tahrir notebooks and from the travelers who came to the city in the 19th century. In the 1903 last Salname, the existence of 5 inns was mentioned. Unfortunately, these three buildings, which are the only subject of our study, have survived to the present day in ruins. In this study, the architectural features of three buildings, two of which were built as inner-city inns and one as a warehouse, were introduced in detail. The similarities and differences between the examples of the Late Ottoman period in the publications were evaluated by comparing them and their place among these works was revealed. As a result, it was determined that the two khans, which are our subject, are the preferred schemes, even in the late period, which are the continuation of the practices seen in inner-city inns since the 15th century with single courtyard, three-storey and portico plan schemes, courtyard, floor and space arrangements. The warehouse, on the other hand, shows that with the façade arrangement, some details found on the facades of 19th century public buildings have found application even in a small provincial building. The main purpose of our study is to emphasize the importance of restoration and preservation of these works in the context of being the structures that shed light on the socio-economic situation of the city.

The bow and arrow is one of the most important weapons of my era, despite the importance of firearms for centuries despite the importance of the emergence, has maintained its reputation until the middle of the 18th century. Although gunpowder-based firearms were invented long ago, the fact that these guns were far from practical use and the long duration of heavy and unloaded operation reduced the effect. Later, however, it became more preferable with the weapons being lightened and the range now longer than an arrow. While firearms are more preferred, the use of bows and arrows has decreased at that rate and is now taking its place on the wall. However, respect for archery has never diminished for the Islamic world. Although technological developments have changed the structure and scope of weapons, archery has always maintained its importance in spirituality and has not lost its respectability even in peace. It is the values within the belief system that adds this value to archery. Although similar, forty hadiths were identified. The fact that there are similar hadiths stems from the pronunciation of different people, which makes the subject of the hadith even more reliable.

In order to identify the breaks, Bai-Perron’s double maximum tests have been applied. The number of breaks have been decided according to LWZ criteria. Five breaks have been identified in the market portfolio and other 30 portfolios. It was also reaserched which economic processes might have led to the breaks. Causes of downward breaks are, capital outflow from turkish capital markets in 2005, Turkey’s exposure to currency shock that was caused by the interest rate increases in developed countries in year 2006, mortgage crisis in 2007 and 2008, also the crisis emanated from the fact that some EU countries were not able to pay off their debt.

The disarmament and the efforts to control the arms date back to very early times. With the development of war and weapons technology, countries have begun to bring disarmament and arms control to their international problems to avoid wars. New perspectives and debates have emerged in disarmament with the new weapon technologies. The space race that began in 1957 has become one of these discussions. Disarmament in space has been discussed internationally with the UN and various arrangements have been made about the issue. Although some have achieved success, international legal infrastructure has not been fully ensured. The different views of countries on legal regulations and space disarmament prevent consensus. The concept of space security is one of the concepts emerging with space racing. It's not entirely about military space activity. It includes both civil and commercial space activity and space weapons. There are various efforts to ensure space security and disarmament arrangements are also included in these efforts. The direction of the disarmament efforts and how it will be shaped in the light of technological and political developments have been examined in this work as one of the important research topics.

Literary theories help literary works to be understood better and interpreted in a healthy way despite the differences in receiving the works. To this end, their practitioners apply their own unique methods for a particular purpose. A literary critic can discuss some elements in a single work, such as themes, characters, historical background, social and personal connections or implications. Literary criticism, while reading a literary work, is to go beyond the work and interpret it. To put it in a nutshell, critical theories are used as methods of interpretation. Within each piece of literature, there are clues to guide the reader to a deeper understanding of the work, of the author and even the inner workings of the individual reader. Through the critical theories, readers may have a chance to go deeper and change their primal perspective of the work. In this study, two critical theories, psychoanalytic criticism, theorized by Sigmund Freud and archetypal criticism by Carl Gustav Jung, one of Freud’s disciples, will be compared to show the differences as well as similarities.

In this study; T-BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa and Turkey) were analyzed using panel data methods relationship between exchange rates and trade in the country. In the analyzes using quarterly data for the 2011Q1-2018Q4 period, statistically significant results could not be produced in terms of the effects of GDP and real effective exchange rates on exports in BRICS-T countries. However, according to the results of the import model; As both GDP and real effective exchange rates increase, imports will increase in the long term in BRICS-T countries. According to this, as the income level increases, the demand for foreign goods will increase, and the increase in real effective exchange rates will increase the import as it increases the weighted average value of the country's national currency.
