The number of higher education institutions is increasing from day to day in our country and in the world. With this increasing number, there are significant improvements in the quality and quantity of higher education institutions. These positive developments also make competition in higher education more difficult each passing day. While higher education institutions are forced to compete with new higher education institutions, increasing in number within the country boundaries, supported by strong capital owners. Under the influence of globalization they have to compete with extraterritorial institutions on the other hand. Therefore, institutions have started to follow various differentiation strategies in order to be able to gain superiority against each other. Marketing communication activities are also one of the important tools in the process of these differentiation strategies. Higher education institutions should increase their awareness and value by sharing the superior aspects of their and their educational services and the opportunities they offer their stakeholders with marketing communication activities. In this research, first of all, marketing communication elements that can be applied in higher education institutions have been tried to be determined and it has been revealed which marketing communication elements are affected by university students in preference stage. For this purpose, a questionnaire was applied to prep and first year students. The survey results were loaded into SPSS 22.0 program and descriptive statistics, reliability tests, factor, correlation and regression analyzes were performed.

The plants in the Fabaceae family have taken a special place in human and animal nutrition as an important source of protein from past to present. Within the scope of the cultivation of leguminous plants, forage legumes have taken place in the agricultural life with their various functions. It is a group of forage plants that have direct effects on animal nutrition and indirect effects on human nutrition, and have yield and quality enhancing properties in the supply of animal products. 22 % of the vegetable protein in human nutrition and 38 % of the protein requirement of farm animals are provided from pulses worldwide. Leguminous plants have a very high capability of soil rehabilitation and can positively affect agricultural productivity in economic terms. However, in spite of their such important and positive effects, considering their small share in the total field crops, it is a necessity to examine leguminous plants by different disciplines sensitively. All of the forage legumes examined within the scope of the study are easily grown in Turkey either naturally or by cultivation. The culture of the Turkish forage legumes was evaluated as a whole in this study within the scope of drawing attention to leguminous plants, all kinds of which are cultured all over the world, in the context of the 2016 International Year of Pulses. Following this evaluation, in the light of the findings obtained, the issue was analyzed from the geographical perspective and alternatives on the spatial scale were tried to be brought to the agricultural activity in question.

Nutrients such as proteins, fat, carbohydrates, minerals, vitamins and water are needed for the functions of the cells that make up the body, growth and development, and for the maintenance of health. These nutrients are called nutrition for daily intake through consumed foods. Early childhood nutrition experiences have an important influence on the future life of the individual. Children's eating habits cannot be considered separately from parental attitudes, behaviors and habits. For this reason, consciousness of the family is important in the healthy nutrition process. Literacy is a condition that plays an important role in the formation of eating habits. The integration of nutrition knowledge and literacy forms the notion of nutrition literacy and can help increase the control of individual eating behaviors and the formation of a healthy lifestyle. Nutrition literacy can be defined as having the capacity to acquire, process and understand basic nutrition knowledge. General screening model was used in the study to determine the nutritional literacy levels of the mothers who has 3-6 years old children. The study group of the research consisted of 381 mothers living in the province of Konya, who has children aged between 3-6 years. This study was conducted between December-2017 and January-2018 with the aim of identifying nutritional literacy levels for mothers of children aged 3-6 years. In the evaluation of the data, SPSS package program was used, socio-demographic characteristics were given as frequency tables, necessary statistical analyzes were made, One-Way Anova and Tukey HSD Test were used. According to the results of the research, it is seen that nearly half of the mothers (47.8%) are between 30-35 years of age. 50.9% of the children are girls and 49.1% of the children are boys. The average age of the children is 2.97 ± 0.89 years. Half of the mothers (50.1%) has undergraduate and graduate degrees and 59.3% were housewives.

Lasting too long the Syria conflict has caused the biggest international mass population movement in the 21st century. In this mass migration movement the neighbouring countries have become the destination. Turkey has followed an open door policy due to many reasons. As the result of this policy, Turkey has become the host of the biggest Syrian migrant population and this has caused Turkey to be the biggest bearer of the related costs. There is no sign of conflict in Syria ending anytime soon. And this means that the residence time of the migrants in Turkey will become longer. For migrants, this might mean a lowered tendency to return. For migrant children who were born in Turkey, this may even mean they become indifferent to their country of origin. This might lead to migrants to become permanent residents in their host country and might create an unwillingness to return to their home country. And migrants becoming permanent residents might cause serious socio-economical problems. In this study, in a university scale, migration, citizenship and return tendencies of students of Syrian origin and economical impacts of these tendencies have been researched.

The standard setters argue that Financial Accounting Theory is derived from a basically coherent conceptual framework, currently focussed on ‘comprehensive income’ as measured by ‘changes in assets and liabilities’, in turn preferably measured at fair values. Within this regard, it is obvious that fair value measurement has gained so much importance among both financial statement preparers and as well as auditors. To help understand how auditing has evolved within this evolving fair value based accounting world, this study provides a detailed literature review on auditing of fair value accounting measurements and other complex estimates. I splitted the literature into three parts such as association between auditing fair value measurements and audit quality, audit fees and other challanges and constraints on auditing fair value measurements. Besides, this detailed literature analysis is conducted on three dimensions: (1) Fair value accounting and its evolution through standard setters, practitioners and academics, (2) an emphasis on the auditor’s need to understand how fair value measurements are prepared in both reel and financial sector, and (2) the audit steps and procedures necessary to verify and attest to fair value measurements, including an awareness of the potential biases inherent in auditing fair value.

Again, I am your friend and companion, and this friendship will continue to the grave. 59 years ago, I started media business by registering to Mecidiyeköy Tax Office.

Some values are referred to by the name of a region or city in terms of their cultural qualifications and their place in the historical process. A similar situation applies to wire breaking, which is one of our traditional handicrafts. This art, which differs from other embroidery types with its unique motifs and technique, is identified with Bartın in the Western Black Sea Region and was registered as ‘Bartın work’ in 2009. Wire breaking is a type of embroidery which is based on needlework of metal wires on tulle or silk like fabrics and breaking them without using scissors. Bartın which is an important port city where Muslim and non-Muslim populations lived together during the Ottoman Period became a center where wire-breaking was spread since 19th century. Still ongoing wire breaking handiwork in the region, is a proof that it is the bearer of cultural heritage that ensures social continuity. As well as its cultural and artistic value, the historical influences that enable it to spread in the city of Bartın may contribute to the coming to light of new information about the cultural identity of the city. Traditional examples of the wire-breaking work of the Bartın region are preserved in the city museum and ethnography museum. Although they contain so many rich examples, these works couldn’t be researched. In this study, by analyzing the historical reasons for the identification of wire-breaking with Bartın, the motif and composition analysis of the samples of wire breaking work in the Ethnography Museum of Bartın Kemal Samancıoğlu will be carried out.

As in the past, the debate over whether the words of the Qur'an are divine comes up from time to time. In writing, we find traces of this view in the works of Imam Zerkeşî and Imam Suyutî. Zerkeşî, one of the experts in the field, merely has convey the view that the words of the revelation from Semerkandî, one of the different ideas on the subject, may belong to the Prophet. However, he has not make any assessment. But Suyutî, after mentioning this view in his work, states that it is not possible to accept this in very clear terms and that he has no scientific value. It is not a healthy approach to say that the different reading styles on the Seven Letters and Seven Readings show that the words of revelation are not divine. Because, as emphasized in the works in which these subjects pass, neither the Prophet Muhammad nor Gabriel had any personal savings of their own. On the contrary, the Prophet Muhammad knew the people would be forced. Therefore he wished the facilitation of reading of the revelation, from his Lord by means of Gabriel and he used the permission and easiness given to him by Allah. The characterization of the Qur'an with characteristics such as “kavl / word, kelâm / speech, kitâb / read material" contains a strong emphasis on the fact that it is not only meaning but a message composed of both meaning and word.

The high level of technical and technological progress as a requirement of the 21st century could not deny investigation and further development of psychological aspects of employees. Accordingly in this study it is aimed to examine the mediating role of intrinsic motivation on the effect of psychological climate on OCB. Survey technique was used as data collection tool in this research. Questionnaires were conducted on 416 white-collar employees in the pharmaceutical and chemical industrial enterprises involved in 500 largest industrial companies of Turkey. ”Psychological Climate Scale” of Brown and Leigh (1996), "OCB Scale" of Padsakoff and Mackenzie (1989) and standardized "Intrinsic Motivation Scale" of Lawler and Hall (1970) and Ryan (1982) were used in the study. As a result of the analyses carried out with SPSS 15.0 and AMOS 11 program, semi-mediating role of intrinsic motivation on the effect of psychological climate on OCB was found. Interest/enjoyment also has a semi-mediating role in the effect of contribution and challenging on altruism. Moreover, while interest/enjoyment has a semi-mediating role in the effect of contribution, self-expression and challenging on civic virtue, it has a full mediating role for supportive management and recognition. It also plays a semi-mediating role in the effect of perceived competence, supportive management and contribution on courtesy. While perceived competence has a semi-mediating role in the effect of contribution, self-expression and challenging on civic virtue, it has a full mediating role for supportive management. Moreover, while perceived choice has a semi-mediating role in the effect of supportive management, role clarity and contribution on courtesy, it is semi-mediator in the effect of supportive management, contribution and self-expression on courtesy.

This study examines the effect of internal and external dynamics of countries on their mode rnization process. Based on a comparative analysis from the history of Turkey and Mozambique, the study shows how complicate the development and modernization process in a given society is. In these countries, the role of political power in the formation of national identity and the promotion of economic development is discussed in details. Although Mozambique is a young republic compared to Turkey, its modernization process goes back to the Portuguese Monarchy Era. But while Turkey is modernized, rural life continues to prevail in Mozambique. The lack of qualified human resources, the existence or absence of a continuum project and a determined socio-political group for the industrialization of society can help us understand why these countries are not at the same level of modernization. Therefore, it is necessary to clarify the differences and similarities in the historical, political, economic and social trends of both countries and examine how these social trajectories affect the modernization process. In this study, it is aimed to reveal similarities and differences in the modernization process of both countries by using historical comparative method. To support the comparative historical method, the document analysis method (books, reports, newspapers, magazines, maps, photographs, periodicals, archives and autobiographical notes) was also used to collect, systematize and interpret the data. However, while trying to evoke various factors that hinder the development of a particular society, the determining factor is political power.
