Abstract
Bu araştırmanın amacı, uzaktan eğitim sürecinde özel yetenekli öğrencilere yönelik uygulanan sosyal bilgiler eğitimini değerlendirmektir. Bu amaçla ülkemizde özel yetenekli öğrencilerin eğitim gördüğü Bilim ve Sanat Merkezlerinde görev yapan sosyal bilgiler öğretmenlerinin uzaktan eğitim sürecine ilişkin tecrübeleri, görüşleri tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden temel nitel araştırma deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada yer alacak öğretmenlerin belirlenmesinde ise amaçlı örneklem yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Bu çalışma, uzaktan eğitim sürecinde özel yetenekli öğrencilerle sosyal bilgiler dersi uygulayan ülkemizin farklı şehirlerde görev yapan 10 öğretmenle yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri 7 sorudan oluşan yarı yapılandırılmış bir görüşme formundan oluşmaktadır. Öğretmenlerle yüz yüze görüşme imkânı olmadığı için e-posta, telefon ve Google form kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin analizinde içerik analizi tekniği kullanılmıştır. Bu sonuçlara göre, öğretmenler derslerinde görsel malzemeler, eğitici oyunlar, animasyonlar ve çeşitli Web 2 araçları ile dersler etkinliklerini zenginleştirdikleri, farklı yöntem ve teknikler kullandıklarını belirtmişlerdir. Özellikle özel yetenekli öğrencilerin diğer akranlarına göre ilgi düzeylerinin yüksekliği ve hızlı öğrenmeleri sebebiyle öğretmenler ders öncesi uzun süre hazırlık ve planlama yaptıklarını sonucuna varılmıştır. Sosyal bilgiler dersinin sözel, sosyal bilimleri kapsaması ve disiplin arası bir yapısından dolayı uzaktan eğitimde avantaj sağladığı belirtilmiştir. Uzaktan eğitim sürecinde yüz yüze eğitime göre iletişim sınırlılığı, sınıf yönetimi ve uygulamalı etkinliklerin yapılamaması gibi olumsuzluklar belirtilmiştir. BİLSEM’lerde seçmeli dersler ve atölyelerin uzaktan eğitimle devam etmesinin özellikle öğrenciler için ulaşım ve zaman avantajı sağlayıcı yönleri olduğu da belirtilmiştir.

Abstract
The purpose of this research is to evaluate the social studies education applied to gifted students in the distance education process. For this purpose, it has been tried to determine the views of the social studies teachers working in the Science and Art Centers where gifted students are educated in our country, on the distance education process. In the research, the basic qualitative research design, one of the qualitative research methods, was used. Purposive sampling method was used to determine the teachers who will take part in the research. This study was conducted with 10 teachers working in different cities of our country, who apply social studies lessons with gifted students in the distance education process. The data of the research consists of a semi-structured interview form consisting of 7 questions. E-mail, telephone and Google form tools were used for the data as there was no opportunity to meet with the teachers face-to-face. Content analysis technique was used in the analysis of the obtained data. According to these results, the teachers stated that they enriched the lesson activities with visual materials, educational games, animations and various Web 2 tools and used different methods and techniques in their lessons. It has been concluded that teachers make preparations and planning for a long time before the lesson, especially because of the high level of interest of talented students compared to their other peers and their rapid learning. It has been stated that the social studies course provides an advantage in distance education because it covers verbal and social sciences and has an interdisciplinary structure. In the distance education process, negativities such as communication limitations, classroom management and inability to perform applied activities were stated. It has been suggested that the elective courses and workshops in BİLSEM continue with distance education, which will provide transportation and time advantages especially for students.
