Abstract
Ekonomik sosyal ve kültürel pek çok sebebe bağlı olarak ortaya çıkan yoksulluk çağımız dünyasının en önemli sorunlarından birisidir. Dünya gelir dağılımındaki adaletsizlik yoksulluğun ekonomik temellerini oluştururken sosyolojik ve kültürel farklılıklar ise sorunun derinleşmesine katkı sağlamaktadır. Bütün dünyanın sorunu olan yoksulluk mekan ve cinsiyet temelinde incelendiğinde sorunun bu başlıklara göre farklılaştığı görülmektedir. Yoksulluğa kır ve kent ayrımı içinde bakıldığında sosyolojik etkilerin ekonomik sonuçları daha derinleştirdiği ve yoksulluğun daha ağır yaşandığı izlenebilmektedir. Kadın ve erkek ayrımı üzerinden yoksulluk analizi yapıldığında da yine sosyolojik ve kültürel etkilerin kadınların yoksulluk hallerini daha derinleştirdiği görülür. Bu sonucun ortaya çıkmasında ekonomik yetersizliklerin toplumsal kodlarla pekiştirilmesi etkili olmaktadır. Bu çalışmada kırsaldaki kadının yoksulluğu ve olgunun nedenleri Şanlıurfa örneği ile ele alınmıştır. Bu amaçla kırsalda yürütülen anket verileri ve kadınlarla yapılan derinlemesine mülakat sonuçları değerlendirilmiştir.

Abstract
Poverty, which arises due to many economic, social and cultural reasons, is one of the most important problems of World in this age. While the injustice in the world income distribution constitutes the economic basis of poverty, sociological and cultural differences contribute to the deepening of the problem. When poverty, which is the problem of the whole world, is examined on the basis of location and gender, it is seen that the problem differs according to these headings. When poverty is examined within the rural and urban distinction, it can be observed that sociological effects deepen the economic consequences and poverty is experienced more severely. When poverty analysis is made through the distinction between men and women, it is seen that sociological and cultural effects deepen women's poverty. The reinforcing of economic inadequacies with social codes is effective in the emergence of this result. In this study, the poverty of rural women and the reasons for the phenomenon are discussed with the example of Şanlıurfa. For this purpose, the survey data conducted in rural areas and the results of in-depth interviews with women were evaluated.
