Abstract
Halkın isteklerine tercüman olan yerel basın, aynı zamanda yöre halkına kendilerine değer verildiğini gösterir. Her türlü gelişmelerden haberdar ederek; sunduğu haberlerde, fotoğraflarda, sıkıntılarda, etkinliklerde bir nevi yöre halkına yaşadığı yerin her gün bir hatırlatmasını yapar. Gazetelerde sunulan haberler, okuyucuların bakış açılarını yönlendirir. Bu yönlendirme ise gazetenin kullandığı sloganla başlar. Basın İlan Kurumu’nun resmi internet sayfasında yer alan Erzurum yerel gazetelerinde kullanılan sloganlar, araştırma kapsamında göstergebilimsel olarak çözümlenmiştir. Sloganlarda; hedef kitleyi etkilemek amacıyla görsel ve dilsel iletilerin olduğu, bunlar sayesinde anlamlar yüklendiği görülmüştür.
