Dini Miras Varlıklarının Turizm Açısından Değerlendirilmesi: Edremit Körfezi’ne Yönelik Karşılaştırmalı Bir Değerlendirme

Abstract
Bu araştırmanın amacı, çok eski dönemlerden beri insan yaşamına mekanlık yapan Edremit Körfezi’nde yer alan Edremit, Burhaniye, Gömeç, Havran ve Ayvalık ilçelerindeki inanç turizmi potansiyeli araştırmaktır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda ilk olarak ikincil kaynaklardan faydalanılmış ve her bir ilçe için dini miras envanteri oluşturulmuştur. İkinci olarak ilçelerde öne çıkan dini miras varlıkları turizm potansiyeli açısından incelenmiştir. Dini miras varlıklarının turizm potansiyelini tespit edebilmek için nitel bir araştırma kurgulanmış, ilçelerde dini kanaat önderleri ve din görevlileri ile mülakatlar gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu mülakatlar neticesinde bölgenin inanç turizmi açısından zengin mirasa sahip olduğu, istatistiklere yansımasa bile bu yapılara yönelik bir ziyaretçi ilgisinin bulunduğu ve turizme kazandırılabilecek çok sayıda potansiyeli yüksek tarihi yapının mevcut olduğu belirlenmiştir.

Abstract
The aim of this research is to investigate the potential of religious tourism in the districts of Edremit, Burhaniye, Gömeç, Havran and Ayvalık located in the Gulf of Edremit, which has been a place for human life since ancient times. For this purpose, secondary sources were first used and a religious heritage inventory was created for each district. Secondly, the religious heritage assets that stand out in the districts were examined in terms of tourism potential. In order to determine the tourism potential of religious heritage assets, a qualitative research was designed and interviews were conducted with religious opinion leaders and religious officials in the districts. As a result of these interviews, it was determined that the region has a rich heritage in terms of religious tourism, that there is a visitor interest in these structures even if it is not reflected in the statistics, and that there are many historical structures with high potential that can be brought to tourism.
