Bireylerin var oldukları zamandan bu yana kendilerini her açıdan ifade etme ihtiyaçları ile görsel ifadenin gücü birleştiğinde, sanatın pek çok formunun toplumsal meseleler konusunda farkındalık yaratmaya yönelik etkili bir araç olarak kullanılıyor olduğu gözlemlenmektedir. Toplumsal sorunlara bireyler ya da gruplarca yapılan müdahaleler olarak tanımlanabilecek aktivizm ise bu süreç içinde ifadeyi aktarma konusunda sanatın gücünden sıklıkla yararlanmıştır. Grafik tasarımın mesajı kitlelere iletme konusundaki en etkili araçlarından biri olan afiş tasarımları ise aktivist hareketler içinde sıklıkla kullanılmıştır. Ancak konuya ilişkin bulunan yaratıcı fikir kadar bu fikrin en doğru görsel elemanlar ile kurgulanması da mesajın net şekilde iletilmesi ve sonrasında akılda kalabilmesi de çok önemlidir. Özellikle konu sosyal amaçlı afişler olduğunda, bireyleri yönlendirmek, algılarını manipüle edebilmek ve farkındalık yaratabilmek adına bu elemanların doğru kullanımları daha da büyük önem taşımaktadır. Bu çalışmada aktivist hareketlerin amacı ve bu yolla eser üreten sanatçılar ve tasarımcılar incelenmiştir. Küreselleşmenin, teknolojinin ve sosyal medyanın aktivist hareketler ile ilişkisine değinilmiş, aktivist sanatçı ve tasarımcıların yaşadığı zorluklar da kısaca paylaşılmıştır. Sonrasında afiş tasarımının sahip olması gereken genel özellikler ve başarılı bir afiş tasarımının oluşmasını sağlayacak görsel elemanlar özellikleri ile birlikte aktarılmıştır. Çalışmanın son bölümünde dünyadan ve Türkiye’den seçilen on adet sosyal afiş tasarımı üzerinden; bu afişlerdeki mesaj, yaratıcı fikir ve mesajın bu fikir üzerinden nasıl bir görsel düzenleme ile bir araya geldiği analiz edilmiştir. Bu analiz sırasında, renk, kontrast, ritim, negatif / pozitif alan kullanımı, yön, tipografi vb. tasarım elemanlarının ifadeye katkıları incelenmiştir. Bu elemanların doğru ve yerinde kullanımının tasarımın dikkat çekiciliğini olumlu yönde arttırdığı ve bu şekilde oluşturulan görsel düzenlemelerin mesajın iletimi konusunda daha etkili bir rol oynadığı gözlemlenmiştir. |

When the power of visual expression is combined with the need of individuals to express themselves in every aspect since their existence, it is observed that many forms of art have been used as an effective tool to raise awareness about social issues. Activism, which can be defined as the interventions made by individuals or groups to social problems, has frequently utilized the power of art to convey expression in this process. Poster designs, one of the most effective tools of graphic design in conveying messages to the masses, have been frequently used in activist movements. However, as much as the creative idea on the subject, it is also very important that this idea is constructed with the most accurate visual elements so that the message is clearly conveyed and can be remembered afterwards. Especially when it comes to social posters, the correct use of these elements is even more important in order to direct individuals, manipulate their perceptions and raise awareness. In this study, the purpose of activist movements and the artists and designers who produce works in this way are examined. The relationship of globalization, technology and social media with activist movements is mentioned, and the difficulties experienced by activist artists and designers are briefly shared. Afterwards, the general features that poster design should have and the visual elements that will ensure a successful poster design are explained together with their features. In the last part of the study, ten social poster designs selected from the world and Turkey were analyzed to determine the message, creative idea and how the message was brought together through a visual arrangement. During this analysis, the contributions of design elements such as color, contrast, rhythm, use of negative / positive space, movement, direction, typography, etc. to expression were examined. It has been observed that the correct and appropriate use of these elements positively increases the attractiveness of the design and that the visual arrangements created in this way play a more effective role in conveying the message. |
