Abstract
Çocukluk çağı, bebeklikten sonraki en erken gelişim dönemidir. Bu zaman aralığında bireylerin edinmiş oldukları deneyim ve kazanımlar gelecekte sergileyecekleri tutum ve davranışların temelini oluşturur. Zihinsel, bilişsel ve ruhsal gelişim bu dönemde yoğunlaşır. Egzersiz, bu süreci destekleyen ve sağlıklı büyüme ve fiziksel gelişim üzerinde doğrudan etkisi olan faktörlerden biridir. Günümüz teknolojik gelişmeleri insanları hareketsiz yaşam tarzını tercih etmeye yöneltmiş ve bu yeni hareketsiz yaşam tarzı çocukları da etkilemektedir. Ancak çocuklar oyun gibi fiziksel aktiviteleri gerçekleştirmek, hareket etmek ve bunu yapmaktan zevk almak için yaratılmıştır. Bu çalışmada fiziksel aktivite ve oyunların çocuk gelişimi üzerindeki etkileri araştırılmıştır. Bu çalışmada, çocukluk dönemindeki fiziksel aktivite ve okullarda oynanan geleneksel oyunların, obezite ile mücadelede sağlamış olduğu yararlar araştırılmıştır.

Abstract
Childhood is the earliest developmental period after infancy. The experiences and achievements of individuals in this time period form the basis of their future attitudes and behaviors. Mental, cognitive and spiritual development intensifies during this period. Exercise is one of the factors that supports this process and has a direct impact on healthy growth and physical development. Today's technological developments have led people to prefer a sedentary lifestyle, and this new sedentary lifestyle also affects children. However, children are created to perform physical activities such as play, to move, and to enjoy doing it. In this study, the effects of physical activity and games on child development were investigated. In this study, the benefits of physical activity in childhood and traditional games played in schools in the fight against obesity were investigated.
