Abstract
İnsanlığın var oluşundan bugüne kadar her zaman var olan eğitim ve öğretim gibi sanat da her zaman hayatın içinde yer almıştır. Kesin bir tanımı olmamakla birlikte güzelliğin ve duygunun yaratıcılıkla dışavurumu olan sanata, günlük hayatın içerisinde ve tabi ki tüm eğitim kurumlarında yer vermek gerekmektedir. Çünkü sanat dünyayı anlamayı kolaylaştıran, bireylerin kendilerini daha iyi ifade etmesini sağlayan ve sosyal, duygusal ve entelektüel gelişimine katkıda bulunan bir araçtır. Toplumda yaşanan sosyolojik, politik, ekonomik ve teknolojik gelişmelerden bağımsız düşünülemeyecek olan sanat, eğitim kademeleri içerisinde yaşanan bu gelişmelerle birlikte değişime uğramıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacı da Türkiye’de geçmişten bugüne sanat eğitiminin nasıl bir gelişim gösterdiğini, bu gelişimin 2000’li yıllarda Türkiye’de sanat eğitimini nasıl etkilediğini ve günümüzde sanat eğitimi alanında yaşanan sorunların neler olduğunu araştırmaktır. Araştırma özellikle resim eğitiminde yaşanan gelişmeler üzerinde yoğunlaşmıştır.

Abstract
Like education and teaching, which have always existed since the existence of humanity, art has always taken place in life. Although there is no certain definition, it is necessary to include the art which is the expression of beauty and emotion with creativity in daily life and of course in all educational institutions. Since art is a tool that facilitates understanding of the world, enables individuals to express themselves better and contributes to their social, emotional and intellectual developments. Art, which cannot be considered independent of the sociological, political, economic and technological developments experienced in the society, has undergone changes along with these developments within the all grade of education. The aim of this study is to investigate how art education has developed from past to present in Turkey and how this development affected art education in Turkey in the 2000s and what problems are experienced in the field of art education today. The research especially focused on the developments in painting education.
