Abstract
Devletlerin varlık sebeplerinden birisi de toplumun güven ve asayişini sağlamaktır. Suçun işlendiği yerlerde suçun faillerinin yakalanması ne kadar önemli ise de suçun meydana gelmeden önlenmesi ya da güvenlik tedbirlerinin aldırılması da bir o kadar önemlidir. Dünya ve ülkemiz genelinde ‘Kitle İletişim Araçları’, hem bilgi edinmenin kaynağını hem de toplumsal kontrolün devamlılığını sağlamaktadır. Bu kitle iletişim araçlarının kullanımı ile birlikte insanlar farkında olarak ya da olmayarak özel hayatları ile ilgili bilgilerini paylaşmaktadırlar. Açık kaynak dediğimiz bu istihbarat çeşidinin en önemli veri kaynaklarından biri de sosyal medyadır. Kişiler, sosyal medya paylaşım siteleri (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram vb.) üzerinden zaman zaman suç unsuru sayılabilecek paylaşımlar yapmaktadır. Suçun oluştuğu her yerde ‘Adli Bilimler’in varlığından söz edilmektedir.

One of the reasons for the existence of states is to ensure the trust and security of society. Although it is important to catch the perpetrators of the crime where it is committed, it is also important to prevent the crime before it occurs or to take security measures. ‘Mass Media’ provides both the source of information and the continuity of social control in the communities in the world and in our country. Using these mass media, people share their personal life information with or without awareness. One of the biggest data sources of this kind of Intelligence, which we call open source, is social media. People make posts that can be considered a crime from time to time via social media sharing sites (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.). Wherever crime occurs, the existence of ‘Forensic Sciences’ is mentioned.
