Abstract
Biyografi çalışmaları, yalnızca, tarih biliminin kıymetlendirdiği figürlerin hayatlarının detaylarına odaklanmakla kalmaz aynı zamanda o karakterin yaşadığı dönemin; sosyo-kültürel, siyasi, askeri, idari hatta diplomatik yapısı hakkında bir fikir edinilmesi noktasında önemli ipuçları sunar. Bu anlamda, tarihte olumlu veya olumsuz iz bırakmış olan kişiler hakkında yapılan akademik çalışmalar, muhatabına; spesifik bir örnek üzerinden, çalışılan konu hakkında genel bir kanaate ulaştıracak yeterli veriyi sunması dolayısıyla oldukça değerlidir. Bu çalışma, Vezirlik ve Kaptan Paşalık başta olmak üzere, erken dönem Osmanlı tarihinde kilit görevler üstlenmiş olan bir Paşa’nın, bu vazifelere getirilişine ve görevlerini sürdürdüğü sırada meydana gelen olayların perde arkasına, Osmanlı istihbaratı çerçevesinden akademik bir bakış açısı sunmayı amaçlamaktadır.

Abstract
Biography studies not only focus on the details of the lives of figures valued by the science of history, but also offer important clues to get an idea of the socio-cultural, political, military, administrative and even diplomatic structure of the period in which that character lived. In this sense, academic studies conducted about people who have left a positive or negative mark on history are very valuable because they provide sufficient data to the addressee to reach a general opinion about the subject being studied through a specific example. This study aims to provide an academic perspective from the Ottoman intelligence framework on the appointment of a Pasha who held key positions in early Ottoman history, especially the Vizier and Captain Pashalik, to these positions and behind the scenes of the events that occurred while he was holding his duties.
