Abstract
Bu çalışmada çocuklarda estetik anlayışın geliştirilmesinde görsel sanatların yerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Araştırmada tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini, 2022-2023 eğitim ve öğretim yılı içerisinde İzmir İli Güzelbahçe İlçesinde bulunan ortaokul öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Örneklem ise bu öğrenciler arasından tesadüfi örneklem seçme yolu ile belirlenen seçilen 132, 8. Sınıf öğrencisinden oluşmaktadır. Veriler Spss programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Verilerin analizinde ortalama (X) frekans (f), yüzde (%), Standart Sapma (Ss), Anova ve T-Testi analizlerinden yararlanılmıştır.
Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, öğrencilerin görsel sanatlar dersini sevdiği, ailelerin görsel sanatlara karşı ilgisiz olduğu ya da sınavlardan kaynaklanan endişelerinden dolayı öğrencileri olumsuz yönde etkilediği, öğrencilerin görsel sanatlar dersinin süresini yetersiz buldukları, öğrencilerin görsel sanatlar dersini bir yetenek olarak algıladıkları, sanatın insanlara dinginlik verdiğini, rahatlattığını ve psikolojik baskılardan uzaklaştırdığını öğrenciler bilmekte ancak sınav kaygısından dolayı görsel sanatlarla uğraşmaya zaman bulamadıkları, öğrencilerin görsel sanatlar dersinin hayatın hangi alanlarında kullanıldığının farkında olmadıkları, öğrencilerin görsel sanatlar dersinin önemini ve hayattaki yerini yeterince algılayamadıkları, öğrencilerin görsel sanatlar dersini yüksek not alıp ortalamalarını yükseltecekleri bir ders olarak gördükleri, görsel sanatlar dersi öğretmenlerinin işlerini tutarlı ve duyarlı bir şekilde yaptıklarında öğrencilerin dersi daha çok sevdiği ve benimsediği ,öğrencilerin liselere giriş sınavı kaygısından dolayı daha çok sayısal ve sözel dersler ağırlık verdikleri, ailelerin görsel sanatlara karşı duyarsız olduğu, kız ve erkek öğrenciler 8. Sınıf seviyesinde görsel sanatlar dersini aynı şekilde algılamadıkları, çok iyi akademik başarı düzeyine sahip öğrencilerin görsel sanatlar dersini karşı diğer akademik başarı gruplarına göre çok ciddiye almadıkları ve öğrencilerin akademik başarısından dolayı ihmal edilen görsel sanatlar dersinin öğrencilerin sanatsal duygularını körelterek, hayattan zevk almalarına engel oldukları görülmektedir.

The education of the research takes place in the middle school Güzelbahçe District in İzmir in the 2022-2023 academic year. It consists of 132, 8th grade students related to sample selection. Since seeing is liked and used by visual arts students rather than being adopted in some way, the fact that families targeted in high schools from multi-numerical and verbal sessions are insensitive to visual arts, and they have a male view, due to the fact that it is reviewed from the students' point of view, when it is considered in a very well thought-out arts course, Visually opposed to the very good level of the arts education very well thought in education did not receive the arts education to a very large extent compared to academic achievements and experiences from the arts from achievements from academic achievements, predictions for the acquisition of blocked thoughts.
