Abstract
Araştırmanın amacı özel güvenlik öğrencilerinin risk analizi kavramını nasıl algıladıklarını metaforlar aracılığı ile belirlemektir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2021-2022 öğretim yılında Kocaeli Üniversitesi Özel Güvenlik Bölümünde önlisans öğrenimi gören 76 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Öğrenciler ikinci sınıf olup risk analizi dersini almış ve gönüllü olarak çalışmaya katılmışlardır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden fenomoloji (olgu bilim) deseni kullanılmıştır. Öğrencilerden “risk analizi” kavramına yönelik algılarını ortaya çıkarmak amacıyla “Risk analizi……….gibidir/benzer; çünkü………..” cümlesini tamamlamaları istenmiştir. Öğrencilere metafor cümlesi içeren form yazılı olarak verilmiştir. Toplanan veriler içerik analizi yöntemi kullanarak analiz edilmiştir. Özel güvenlik öğrencilerinin risk analizi kavramıyla ilgili olarak 62 farklı metafor oluşturdukları görülmüştür. En fazla anne, araba, merdiven ve çelik yelek metaforlarının olduğu görülmüştür. Öğrencilerin oluşturduğu metaforlar altı kategoride toplanmıştır. Bu kategoriler; yol gösterici, tehlikeleri önleme, güvenlik sistemleri, tehlikeleri kontrol altına alma ve durum analizi olarak oluşturulmuştur. Öğrencilerin risk analizi kavramına ilişkin oluşturduğu metaforların olumlu olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonucunda öğrencilerin oluşturdukları metaforlar incelendiğinde; risk analizi yapmanın önemli olduğunu ve mesleki açıdan risk analizinin önceden oluşabilecek tehlike ve tehditlere karşı hazırlıklı olunmasını sağlayacağını düşündükleri sonucuna varılmıştır.

Abstract
The aim of the research is to determine how private security students perceive the concept of risk analysis through metaphors. The study group of the research consists of 76 students studying at the private security department of Kocaeli University in the 2021-2022 academic year. The students were sophomores and took the risk analysis course and voluntarily participated in the study. Phenomenology (phenomenology) design, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the research. In order to reveal the perceptions of the students towards the concept of “risk analysis”, “Risk analysis is like/similar to……….; because………..” were asked to complete the sentence. The students were given a written form containing a metaphor sentence. The collected data were analyzed using the content analysis method. It was observed that private security students created 62 different metaphors regarding the concept of risk analysis. Most of the metaphors of mother, car, ladder and steel vest were created. The metaphors created by the students were grouped into six categories. These categories are; It has been created as a guide, prevention of dangers, security systems to control dangers and situation analysis. It has been determined that the metaphors created by the students regarding the concept of risk analysis are positive. As a result of the research, when the metaphors created by the students are examined; It has been reached to the server that they think that it is important to conduct risk analysis and that risk analysis will ensure that they are prepared for the dangers and threats that may occur beforehand.
