Abstract
Sürdürülemez düzleme gelmiş şehirler, şehir sakinlerinin fizyolojik ve psikolojik olarak olumsuz etkilenmesine neden olmuş, bu konuya yönelik çözüm arayışları teorisyenler ve bilim insanları tarafından tartışılmaya başlanmıştır. Sürdürülebilir şehir vizyonuyla getirilen çözümler sıklıkla tartışmaya açık olsa da, doğayla uyumlu ve doğa-insan dengenin kurulmaya çalışıldığı ekotopya fikri, konuya yönelik ilgi için önemli bir fikirdir. Bu nedenle genç mimar adaylarının eğitiminde, mevcut duruma başkaldırabilmeleri ve eleştirileri doğrultusunda hayallerini tasarlayabilmeleri güncel sorunlarına çözümünde önemli görülmektedir. Bu çalışma, sürdürülemez bir şehir olarak nitelendirilebilen Yenice şehrinde, mimarlık öğrencilerinin bu sorunlara karşı ürettiği ekotopya projelerini içermektedir. Elde edilen projeler tasarım ve sürdürülebilirlik ilkeleri bağlamında değerlendirilmiş ve bu ilkeler ekotopya fikrinin yaratıcı bir yolla yeniden üretilmesini ve gerçekçi bir temelde uygulanabilirliğini de sağlamıştır. Mimarlık öğrencilerinin sorunların çözümüne karşı ürettiği farklı perspektifler ve yaklaşımlar, onların sadece yaratıcı yönlerini geliştirmekle kalmamış aynı zamanda güncel sorunlara yönelik farkındalıklarını değiştirmiştir.

Abstract
When cities reach to an unsustainable scale, its residents are negatively affected in physiological and psychological terms, and a quest for solutions to this issue has started by theorists and scientists in recent years. Although the solutions for a sustainable city vision are often disputable, the idea of ecotopia comes to the fore, which is compatible with the nature in an attempt to establish a nature-human balance. For this reason, it is significant that future architects should rise against the current status quo and design their dreams in line with their criticism in solving current problems. This study includes the ecotopia projects produced by students of architecture against these problems in the city of Yenice, which can currently be described as an unsustainable city. Ecotopia design, which is created in an architectural studio environment, is planned to help students of architecture develop their innovative and critical thinking skills towards global problems and bring their creativity to the forefront. The projects obtained were evaluated in the context of design and sustainability principles and these principles also enabled the idea of ecotopia to be reproduced in a creative way and to be applied on a realistic base. In solving the aforementioned problems, different perspectives and approaches of students of architecture not only develop their creative side but also improve their awareness of current problems.
