Abstract
Bu çalışmada binlerce yıllık tarihi derinliği ile kendine has tavır ve üslubu olan Türk halk müziğinin İlköğretim ders kitaplarında yer almasının önemi ve kazançları açılarından yaklaşılarak ortaokul ders kitaplarının incelenmesi gerçekleştirilmiş ve İlköğretim ders kitaplarında Türk halk müziğine yer verilme durumu incelenmiştir. Konu ile ilgili olarak Konya ili Meram ilçesindeki müzik öğretmenlerinin görüşlerine başvurulmuştur. Elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda; İlköğretim müzik ders kitaplarındaki Türk halk müziği ile ilgili nazari bilginin yetersiz olduğu, Türk halk müziğinin tarihsel sürecine değinilmediği, ilköğretim müzik ders kitaplarında, yöresel çeşitliliğe dikkat edilerek halk türkülerine yer verilmesi gerektiği, ilköğretim kitaplarında, Türk halk müziğine bütün unsurlarıyla öğrenci yaş ve algı düzeyleri dikkat edilerek yer verilmesi gerektiği, ilköğretim öğrencilerine kültürel değerleri tanıtma ve kazandırma yolunda Türk halk müziğinin önemli bir payının olduğu, kültürel değerlerin gelecek nesillere aktarımı açısından bakarsak, ilköğretim müzik ders kitaplarında Türk halk müziği öğelerine belirli bir düzen içerisinde yer verilmesinin zorunluluğu ve bu konuda öğrencilerin ilgi ve dikkatlerinin çekilmesi gerektiği sonuçlarına varılmıştır.

Abstract
In this study, the examination of secondary school textbooks has been performed and the status of Turkish folk music in primary textbooks has been investigated by approaching the importance and advantages of inclusion of the Turkish folk music having a specific attitude and style with its historical depth of thousands of years in the elementary education textbooks. The opinions of the music teachers in the Meram County of Konya City have been asked in respect thereof. In accordance with the obtained it is concluded that; The theoretical knowledge related to Turkish folk music in primary music textbooks is insufficient, the historical process of Turkish folk music is not referred, the folk songs should be included in the elementary education music textbooks by considering the local diversity, the Turkish folk music should be included in the elementary education textbooks together with all the elements by considering the age and perception levels of the students, the Turkish folk music plays an important role in the way of introduction and acquisition of cultural values to elementary school students, the necessity for the inclusion of Turkish folk music elements in a certain way in the elementary education music textbooks and the arousal of interest and attraction of the attention of the students was required in terms of transferring cultural values to future generations.
